Yesterday I installed Hebrew language support on my XP,
patched-to-the-latest, machine. Now, when I type in the command window,
I see absolutely nothing, although what I type works and nothing else
that I've yet noticed doesn't function, e.g., I have a short program I
run daily that puts up a BROWSE NOWAIT window and the browse window,
while different looking, is still readable.

What happened and what do I do to fix it? This iv VFP SP5, version
06.00.8961.00

TIA.

Hi Steve,

What's the font for your command window (right click in command window,
select properties)?

And (more to the point) the font size?

Sietse.

10 point.

I changed to another fixed font, Miriam (sp?), also in 10-point, and I
can now see what I type. I believe TrueType or not was/is the issue.

My cursor is still weird in all applications, though.

Hi,

I've seen VFP6 do some weird things with the fontsize after a system crash.
You could try to start VFP with the -a command line switch to make sure it
loads with the default system settings. If the problem remains, my guess is
that your font is damaged.
If the problem doesn't persist, the VFP settings are altered.

HTH,

My command window is now OK but nothing displays with, e.g., I DISPLAY
STATUS.

I haven't had a crash that I'm aware of on this machine, but I haven't
tried the -a option just yet.
