For the OKI printer, have you tried the EJECT command? For the Epson, what's
the form size you're using, and can the form size be set on the printer (not
via the driver)?

Neil

Hi Neil yes i have tried eject page command, but it doesnt give me the
results that i want, im trying to print in a .75x4 pice of paper like a
label, it "labels" come\es in a continous paper , i can print on each label
but after the last line is printed, the printer eject automatically the paper
until a letter size height is reached, i want that the printer stop just when
the last line is printed, i am using Windows XP and it dont allow me to set a
specific paper size for this printer, there is any way where you can control
the paper size from the FoxPro instead from Windows?

About the Epson im using a paper roll that is 3 inches width, it let me
change the size of the paper, but still use the letter size as the paper
size. Ia am setting the printer via the driver, dont know how to do it using
another via

Tank you for your help

Hi, Lazaro,

Why don't you use reports ? they work fine with TMU... and it's easy to
define your specific paper size.
I use ? and ?? only for Epson DM, but reports for all TMU

Lazaro, I'm having the same problem with my Epson TM U200 that you were
having with your TM U220 using the Generic/Text Driver. I've tried all the
Epson drivers, with no success. I would appreciate knowing the solution.

Thanks,

Re: printing in a dot matrix printer and receipt printer by Dan

I had a similar problem with a dot matrix printer. I use "Crystal Reports"
report writter, which has the same issue.

I handled the issue by creating a textfile with the text lines and carriage
returns. I was printing labels, so I had to count how many lines I used.
This allowed me finish out the label with carriage returns for the unused
lines. Once your file is built, I copy the file directly to the printer
using this line:
copy labels.txt \\dell500\panasonic

Its a printer on a PC somewhere on my network.

I hope this helps,
Dan Tallent

I'm using some of epsons TM-T88-series.
without any problem but in an "old-fashioned" way.

Set Printer To Name "yourprintername" (or Set printer to lpt1)
Set Device To Printer
@x,y say ... Font somefont,somesize Style somestyle
@x-1, y say ... &&this will result in a paper cut. if this is neccesary and
supported.
Set Device To Screen
Set Printer To

Linda,
One possibility is to use the RawPrint class library, available on the UT at

Christophe,

I appreciate your help, but I'm not sure where to put the code you gave
me...in the properties for the printer?

I'm printing receipts from a software application to an Epson TM-U200 impact
printer. Either I get way too much paper, as Lazaro stated, or the last line
doesn't print and the form feed doesn't seem to be sent.

I'm running Windows 2000, could that be a problem?

Thanks again.

When I did this with Star receipt printers, there was a setting on the
printer driver to choose variable length "Receipt", or one of several fixed
lengths. Maybe you have something like that you can set.

Hi Linda,

What do you mean by "a software application" ?
Is this your app. written in Foxpro or is this a third party app. (written
in Foxpro) ?
I (and probable all in this NG) can give you "all" advice on how to make
your
own app. in Foxpro ! But if you bought a software app. which print not
what
it should be printing. You have to ask that supplier
or switch to windows2000 NewsGroup or ask Epson.

regards
christophe

b.t.w. have checked the paper size in the printers properties ?

Sorry, I guess I'm in the wrong discussion group. I'm not a programmer.
Thanks for your help anyway.
