I would assume that what you are doing is making a change to the printer in
the windows control panel and then trying to make use of it within foxpro. I
also assume you are using the report writer?

As has been mentioned in an earlier post, the report writer can store
information about the printer in the report. What you tend to need to do, is
to modify the report in foxpro, and from the menus in there make the
appropriate changes to the printer, and then save the report. This will then
normally remember your settings for next time.

another thing to note is that changes to a printer in the control panel
while foxpro is running are not normally reflected in foxpro. this is an old
issue. you may find that your problem goes away if you set the printer up
prior to running the foxpro app, ( this would be the case in the app my
company provides, as we strip out the printer information for the report
layouts we provide).

hope this helps.

Mark,

this works for all the settings except the portrait 180 setting. i don't
know how to show you without having datamax printer on your system....thanks
for your help.

Well then the only other way i can think to sort this out, is to set
yourself up a second printer in windows, which is actually your original
printer, but with the settings the way you want them, and use that for this
report. if that dosn't work i dont really know what else to suggest.
