I have a client running NAV and my VFP6 app data keeps getting screwed.
I tried disabling NAV & the problem went away - is this a known problem?
Thanks
John

I've no personal experience but I've certainly read plenty of other people's
posts in this newsgroup reporting problems with NAV and VFP.
I think you can configure NAV to avoid extensions of VFP files and leave it
enabled.

Thanks Andrew,

My experience was that I was still getting data corruption even with VFP
files excluded from background scanning
It may have been an early version of NAV and has since been fixed.
I am interested to know of any others who had a similar experience and have
been able to find a solution.

Have definitely noted this problem myself, and seen it
mentioned by many others. Solution is to prevent virus
scans on DBF/CDX/FPT/DBC/DCT etc as Andrew says.
Nav has a lot to answer for.....

Brian

John,

there is a KB-Article on VFP and NAV. It might be related to your problem.
Take a look here:
