Hi Rusty:
Have you checked the cash register manufacturer for a Windows driver or an
ActiveX control to interface with the device? If they have would, then
controlling the cash register is a easy as calling a method of a ActiveX
control or the property of DLL file.
If not, you may be able to use the MSCOM control to communicate with the
cash register:

There is also information on Epson printers and cash drawers on
Universalthrread.com. Go to www.universalthread.com, click on the Download
icon, and choose Visual FoxPro as the product. In the Summary text box of
the query page, search for "cash."
