    - one excel file ? Dear all, I created a salary report program for user use. However, user wants the output is excel format. So, I use "copy to ...type xls" command to export data to excel file. My problem is : create many excel file after run program. Because, I separate each employee have one excel file. But user wants one excel file to store all employee(separate page in excel).     - Adding a toolbar to a vanilla form Can anyone tell me if it is at all possible to dock a toolbar on a regular, vanilla, run-of-the-mill form? I have tried dabbling with formsets, but it seems that the foxpro toolbar only likes to be docked onto the 'main frame'. I say 'main frame' because my experience is from the MFC world.     - VFP9 report field alignment bug I have a detail band field in a VFP9 report (still running in VFP8 mode, no listeners or anything special) that evaluates to strings like "47/$123.50", "15/$50.00", "0/$0.00", "818/$3,996.00" etc. These strings are all fully trimmed and the report field is set to right justified, yet the those fields in the detail rows do not line up on the report preview - the right edges from one row to the next are misaligned by almost the full width of a zero. Fortunately, they line up much better - but not perfectly - when printed. Is this something I should report as a bug before release? To whom, and how? Maybe it's too difficult, or too late, to fix.     - Mousepointer on a grid This isn't a big deal but I would like to set the mousepointer for a grid. I noticed that it is only settable for the grid and the textboxes in the grid. I changed these to a regular pointer but it doesn't seem to work the way I want it. I want a normal pointer as move across the grid but it always shows the I cursor. Because the grid is there for the user to select a record they want to edit, it makes no sense to me that this should be an I. Also I would like to change the cursor for the grid header but that too does not have a property for the mouse pointer.     - Import from ... gives an error (Excel format) VFP 8.0 I try this command import from "C:\test\Articles_vyncb2-3-4.xls" type xl8 on the Excel file included in this archive http://adsl.ineo.be/Articles_vyncb2-3-4.zip I get the following error message : "Microsoft Excel file format is invalid".     - Resolving relative filenames from project Hello, is there an easy way I can resolve the relative filenames in a project table to the full path so I can list all the source files and their full path in a project? eg: I have a project: "j:\dev\costing\kmcost.pjx" In that table, the first record has a name field of "j:\dev\costing\kmcost.pjx".     - VFP8 Transparent GIFs not displaying transparent! Some of our images on button controls which display fine in VFP7, display with a white background in VFP8. I've used photoshop to make sure the GIFs are transparent and in Windows Explorer they look absolutely fine. I'm not using any Windows XP themes. The images that look ok are all old VFP bitmaps but according to Photoshop bmps can't be transparent??? Can anyone suggest any possible solutions?     - Multiselect Listbox woes I am again kicking myself for trying to use a multiselect listbox due to it's unreliable behavior. Here's my latest discovery: When the user selects, say 4 or 5 items in the list box using Ctrl+Click, then tabs to another control or clicks on another control, then tabs back to the listbox, all of the previously selected items are cleared. Huh!? How could this possibly be the desired behavior of this control? This happens in both VFP6 SP5 and VFP8 SP1. Haven't tried it in the VFP9 beta yet. Is the only way around this loss of user input to keep a separate array of the selected items, then when the control gets focus to re-select them?     - VFP 6: Cut/Copy of Output I wrote a small test program which outputs to _screen. I decided that I would like to copy this to a file. Unfortunately, I can not cut/copy this text. If I send the output to a form, I can not cut/copy from there either. For this case, I can simply set alternate or I can output to a editbox, but I would like a more general solution to this problem. I have had this general problem in the past with other output. One example of this is the text on a message box for which neither the alternate nor editbox approaches apply. Yes, I can cut/copy as graphics, but is there a way to capture screen/form output text AS TEXT? I am not concerned if I lose graphics content: I simply want the text.     - Intellisense with azerty I found a topic about this subject in a newssearch, but there was no solution. Now i have the same problem. I use foxpro 2 weeks now. I got an azerty keyboard. Intellisense pops up by using: -capslock and the . key (. is the uppercase char of the key in azerty) -the . key of the numpad Intellisense DOESN'T popup when i use: -SHIFT and the . key (remember it's the uppercase char i need) I tried using numeral key remappers and macro players, but they don't seem to have a solution for me to use the shift-. combo VFP is the only development environment I have had this problem with.     - PageFrame Bug When you add a pageframe without tabs to a container class ... Height is allowed to be less than 30, but when the class is saved and then reopened, you will get an error saying that the height is too small. You must then hack the VCX and correct the height in order to open the class in the designer. First, this is a bug. The height should not be checked when tabs are off. Second, I really hate it when I get an error like this, and then that's it. VFP doesn't try to open the VCX. It leaves you hanging, with no choice but to hack the changes. I tried rebuild again but same error.so this time i excluded menu from project and now .err file contains something like compiling e:\vssshadow806\vip\console\getwaiting.prg I even excluded that prg from project but getting different file name in .err file. so i realized the error in .err file is misleading. is there anyway to trace what causing the fatal error !!     - Help debugging FP COM Server... Hi, I've have a FoxPro (FP) project that generates a COM Server which I can build/compile with debug information and register (using /regserver). Now I would like to startup another executable (in my case a C++ program which uses the FP COM Server type library) which calls routines in the FP code. I know how to set a breakpoint in FP, but how do I start the other executable in such a way that FP (debugger) breaks when reaching the breakpoint? I thanks in advance for all replies. /Michael PS. I have a textbox which in the keypress (Shift+F5) event I call a class.method to translate it's value. When the word to translate isn't possible (unknown word,misspelled...) another "translateform" with a grid is shown with other possible words and the possibility to add / alter the word or cancel it. So far so good and everythings works fine. Except I want it just underneath the textbox with the "problem" word. In the init of the "translateform" I place this so the "translateform" is placed right underneath the word this.Left = lcallform.left + OBJTOCLIENT(lcallobject,2) + (lcallobject.selstart * FONTMETRIC(6 , "arial", 8)) +5 this.top = lcallform.top + OBJTOCLIENT(lcallobject,1) + lcallobject.height + 32 when the first unknown word in the textbox is found and the "translateform" is shown everything is ok. In the same translatingloop of the keypress when there is another unknown word then ObjToClient() (Top and Left) returns suddenly BOTH Exactly 4000 !? All the other values lcallform and lcallobject are correct it returns the right objectreference and left and right and so on. And I never ever have any form that is that wide ? (sometimes I wish I could have ...) to check where the problem is I've place this in the translateform.init. So i know exactly that only objtoclient() is given me "weird" results.     - Microsoft Web browser control I have added a Microsoft Web Browser control to a form.     - Designing a system In my college days I learnt DBIV and Pascal. We were taught in those days to design in the following way: 1. JSP Diagrams. 2. Pseudo Code 3. Real Code. In our new OOP world JSP Diagrams don't seem to work. Instead I increasingly find myself just coding right off. I am sure there is a better methodology. What are you doing? How does UML fit in to all this? How do you define the flow of your application and the relationships between classes. Do you use a software design tool such as Rose or Visio?     - Transparent Forms I was experimenting with making a form transparent. I seem to be able to do that if I create a prg file and define a form class, etc... however, if I manually create a form and place the following code in a command button my form does not become transparent.     - Creating Excel Sheets I am using some recycled code from the MSDN for creating Excel sheets (I cannot find the original msdn page). basically this code creates an object named oExcelSheet with this object (yes I am aware there is more to it) I can insert data into the sheet by doing oExcelSheet.cells(5,2).value = "Ref Month".     - Set different printer. I am trying to change printers so the user can select a button on a frame and send a report to a black and white printer or select a different button to send the report to a color printer. Now when I use the command SET PRINTER TO NAME GETPRINTER() which comes back and allow the user to select which printer to use. That works fine. But when I try and change the printer using the command set printer to \\server\hp750 and then send a print command the printer spools the report but just sets there. Now if I type the command SET PRINTER TO it tries to send data to the printer but then the printer just locks up. Can anyone help me out and show me how to just switch printers and send a report to a different printer than the default one and then return the printer to the default one?? I place this class on a form and call it when I want to visually highlight an object. (I visually highlight one or more objects by adding on each corner a highlighter =small rectangular shape in a bright color) the procedure is called something like this : procedure myobject.rightclick thisform.multiselect.selectme(this) *dosomethingelse thisform.multiselect.deselectme(this) I only get this error when the user Rclicks on the object when the form is not active ! So when the user first clicks on the form to activate it and then Rclick on the object I don't get an error. But of course I can't teach my user to do it this way. So I tried to activate the form in the Rclick prior to thisform.mulitselect.selectme but whether I use This or Thisform I get the same error.     - _CRYPT problem between Win2000 and XP I've got the same problem as other users have found when trying to use the _crypt.vcx class and getting different encrypted strings between the 2OS's. On the Win2K machine , I had 2 references. One to the rsabase.dll in the Microsoft Base Cryptographic Provider v1.0 key and the other to the rsaenh.dll file in the Microsoft Enhanced Cryptographic Provider v1.0 key So I changed the Base one to also point to the rsaenh.dll file I also changed the line in the wincrypt.h file to... #DEFINE dsMS_DEF_PROV_A "Microsoft Enhanced Cryptographic Provider v1.0" After compiling with these changes it still did not work. I noticed the dll on the Win2K machine (SP4), was older than the one on the XP Home machine (SP1), so I tried to install the newer one on the 2000 machine, but Windows would not let this file get updated. An example; I open my project (file, open and select esdab.pjx) with databases, tables, forms, menus and so on. Nothing else than open the project and the projectmanager pops up. In VFP´s combo in the upper edge I can see that the database 'pu' becomes open. In the datasessionwindow I can see that no table is open. In the comandwindow ? ISEXCLUSIVE('pu',2) returns .T.     - Error Creatin FORM I have created a form in one system. Later on the same form was modified on other system. After the complete modification. I form.sct & form.sct file on the previous system. all point to ADO. If there is a better hierarchial control that someone

The TreeView ActiveX control.
The FlexGrid is a ReadOnly control, right?
