    - How to "force" SET RELATION? Hi, I'm having a problem in VFP9. I set a relation between two tables so that the child should always be tied to the current row in the parent. I have two grids on a form. One for the parent table and one for the child. The problem is that when I move to a different record in the parent grid the child grid doesn't change. The relation doesn't appear to be working. I know my SET RELATION is correct b/c I can BROWSE the two tables and see that the relation is working.     - Error 111 Cannot update the cursor... Hi, I'm running into error 111 and can't see any reason. Removing the dbc from the project has no effect. When the dbc is in the project it is marked as "Exclude". When I start the app, and every time the table goes to a new row, I get the 111 error but the error appears to come from code that is NOT trying to write to the table! The full error message: ".txtValue.Value = Symbols.TotShares * Symbols.Price Error: 111 Cannot update the cursor Symbols, since it is read-only. Method navrefresh Line: 53" How would a simple calculation on data in the table require an update? Symbols is a vfp table. All data is local (Drive C). No server is involved. This vfp9.     - Launching Foxisapi process in "debug" mode I am attempting to launch Foxisapi in debug mode by following the instructions in Article ID: Q156223 I am getting the following message: FOXISAPI call failed Progid is: bulkM.x2 Method is: eval parameters are: Invoke failed with err code 80020009: Exception occurred. I can actually run the server as a normal foxisapi application, it returns pages and every thing works fine. I wanted to try out getting to an interactive foxpro session. If I go into foxpro and run the following: oServer=CREATEOBjECT("VisualFoxPro.Application") oServer.EVAL( [oDebug("bulkM.x2.Method('lcFormVars','lcIni',0)")] ) Another session of foxpro will load and the oDebug.prg is loaded. I was thinking that maybe foxisapi does not have the access rights to load VisualFoxPro.Application. Within DCOMCNFG I cannot find an entry for VisualFoxPro.Application but I have set the default launch & access permissions for IUSR & IWAM.     - About the command "Set Exclusive Off" Hi All, This is Sam. I'm now running on troubles by using the command "Set Exclusive Off". I designed the whole system using Visual Foxpro 6.0, and complied to exe file. For now the system has been installed to three computers, one as a server(with exe file), and other two for clients only. I had used so many "Index on" commands and thought to be "not shared". I added "Set Exclusive Off" before getting into my system, and added "Set Exclusive On" before the command "Index On" and "Set Exclusive Off" after that. Like this: ***************** Set Exclusive on select table1 use table1 index on idnumber to table1 set exclusive off ***************** And now I'm still running on this trouble.     - Child form Opens & immediately closes Hi, I have a form that's called from another form (user selects a menu item on first form). It opens and flashes on the screen but immediately closes. Strangely, if I RUN the form from the Project Manager. It opens and stays open. I can close it and then call it from the parent form and it works! So something about the way it's being called isn't doing something correctly. I have no clue what's wrong. The only non-default property (other than size, position and Caption) of the child form is Desktop = .T. The form is called from the parent form's menu with: SET SKIP OF BAR 1 OF "view" .T. DO FORM Securities NAME Securities LINKED ; WITH _VFP.ActiveForm && Pass handle of calling form to the child Here are the methods of the child form: LOAD: PUBLIC OldSym OldSym = SPACE(LEN(Symbols.Symbol)) INIT: LPARAMETERS oCallingForm This.oCaller = oCallingForm (I have added an oCaller property to the form) UNLOAD: RELEASE OldSym TRY This.oCaller.SetTransMenu(1) && undoes skip of bar 1 CATCH * do nothing ENDTRY That's it.     - Foxisapi and Blat.dll (or wwipstuff.sendMail) I am using vfp6 SP5 I am calling a com component through foxisapi, everything works fine. The last part of the project is to create an email when a page is submitted. I wanted to use a tool that could communicate directly with an SMTP server. I used the following code with blat.dll (only the relevant code is shown). Both have the same problem, if I step through the code in a standard foxpro environment an email is generated. If I run it through the web server, no email is generated and the process completes but becomes unstable and eventually locks up. To communicate directly with the mail server these processes must be using sockets, so that must be causing the problem for them both to be failing, but I don't understand how that could be. I downloaded the latest version of Foxisapi from the MS site but it didn't help. It's a tough one but I was hoping someone might have some insight into what's going on. Thanks.     - crystal question At one of our installations one of the machines cannot print reports. We ar using crystal version 10 with the report viewer. When we try to print from this machine we get an error message which says Failed to load database information Details: Unable to load query builder component. I've gotten the code to work well but the view is in a minimized dos style box. I'd like to be in a maximized state. So, to ask a specific question(s) 1. What does the -T indicate? 2. Is there place I can find out all switches besides the @#$$%^&*( documentation? 3.     - Error Handling I have an error handler that gives the user the option of closing the current form and continuing. I am using the Release method of the current form to release the activeform. However, the problem is that even after using the release method, whatever procedure was running in the activeform continues running through to the end of the procedure. When that procedure finishes, the form will be released. The problem is, the user might end up getting multiple error messages before the form releases. I have a Combo Box with RowSourceType=fields and RowSource=TableName.FieldName The Table is the child in a relation so that only a subset of records are accessible at any time.     - Suggestions needed on printing checks I need to print checks with a stub. The information on the stub may cause it to go to a second page. I wish to use standard check stock in bin 1 of a printer and place standard paper in bin 2 of the same printer. I wish to print page 1 from bin 1 (check stock) and any subsequent pages from bin 2 (standard paper). I also want to print a signature graphic. Is this possible using a standard FoxPro report? (Specifically the switching of bins). If not would the @SAY method of printing be a better solution? Would the ??? method of printing be the best choice? Is it better to print the MICR and check image on plain paper using magnetic toner (any suggestions for a printer)? or, Is there a third party solution I am unaware of that would help? The trick is the switching of bins. I have tried many ways to do the report form, but the escape sequences are sent to the report (and printing as qarbage) instead of controling the printer.     - Click and DblClick conflict? (VFP6) I have a form which contains a grid. I want the user to be able to (left)Click on a row of the grid to perform a Click method; and to DoubleClick to do a different, DblClick method. I can't get them to work together, even when I increase the _DBLCLICK value to its maximum (about 5.5 seconds). The form seems to respond to a doubleclick as if it were a singleclick. I *am* able to get Click and RightClick to coexist. I can also code for a DblClick by itself. But the bottom line is: I can't get Click, DblClick, and RightClick all to function in the same control or object. Why is this? (By the way, I think the explanation of _DBLCLICK in the VFP 6.0 Language Reference is wrong.     - Data session issues - VFP9 Has anyone come across any quirks with VFP9 forms and reports with respect to using private data sessions? Several of us are running into intermittent issues. I've not yet been able to duplicate it 100%, but I'm working on that. Issue: You run a report from a program, and the find file dialog appears. No apparent reason. Suspend program immediately before report form is run. Open debugger, add set('datasession'). Edit report. Preview. Previews fine, datasession stays at 1. Immediately preview again. Datasession changes, find file dialog appears. Cancel. Preview again, previews fine. Preview again, find file dialog appearrs and datasessions is changed. Every other time we previewed the report, it would change datasession and error out, and every other time it would preview fine. Issue: Modify report. Ensure private data session is not selected. Save report. Edit report. Private datasession is selected. Unselect it. Save report. Edit report. Private datasession is selected. Issue: Create form. Set to private datasession. Add tables to DE. Save. Edit, set to default datasession. Save and run. Form opens in private datasession, even though you set it to default. We are seeing enough of these to establish a pattern, but not enough to duplicate it 100%. (and, no, I'm not the only one here that is seeing this :-P ) Tag: internet transfer control Tag: 212862

Does anyone know how to use the internet transfer control to upload a file
to a webserver using the http protocol, in theory the put method should work
but I have had no luck in getting it to work.
