    - error 0x80040154 displaying bmp We have one machine in the office running XP that displays the following error code when a bitmap is included in the form.... OLE error 0x80040154 class not registered. The machine will not display any bmp files in visual foxpro 8. the other 6 machines in the office do not have this problem.     - VFP8, Grid crashing when line item is clicked I have a grid that sits on the form. One of the columns is for Part Number. This grid is used for (data entry) I have a seperate table that list the all known part numbers. I have a search form that list the part numbers of this other table. This search form has a grid of its own. This setup allows the user to simply enter a known part number, double click to fire the search form, or hit the question mark from the keyboard to fire the search form. When the user double-clicks, everything works great. The search form opens, the user picks one part number from the search form. It then fills in the row I was on with the selected value. The problem is when I use the "?" question mark to fire the search form. When the search form opens, it list the first 10 hits starting from the top of the Part Number file. As soon as I click the grid on the search form, the program crashes. Error # 52, Line 0, Method: Grid1.mousedown No table is open is the current work area. What is the easiest way to get from that to a text month followed by the year? Is there an easier way than PADR(CMONTH(CTOD('01/'+SUBSTR(month, 5, 2)+'/2000'))+' '+LEFT(month, 4), 15) (the padding is because I am using select and I don't want longer results than the first truncated.) I suppose I could abbreviate '/2000' to '/99' or something. I'm not interested in a UDF or arrays which merely hide it, just wondered if there's an easier way.     - Multiple detail band in VFP Hi All, I have this reporting scenario where by I have one master table and 2 detail tables. I tried to use multiple band but encountered a problem when the records of 2nd detail tables overflow to second page. Somewhat one of the record of 2nd detail table is missing. I do not understand why. Does multiple band works on relationship of one to many detail tables or it works on one-many-many?     - vfp 7 : memory file structure ? Hi everyone, I've to change a program, and got a problem with a memory file. The file is loaded at the beginning of the program, and changed afterwhat with new user's values. Access to data depends of these memory info. So each time a new user come to see data, he get the memory file of the last user, and the program bug. If this new user come a second time, the memory file contain correct info, saved from his previous visit, and then the data are accesibles. If I could change this mem file with the good data during a session, and reload these just as if these were on this mem file, I wouldn't have more problems. But for now I need my users to log to times... So I've three questions : 1- I can't see anywhere on the program where is loaded the mem file, neider when or where is it changed. Is it automatique ? Can I search through my code by an automatique way the lines of code where is loaded this file ? (I really didn't find theses lines !) 2-Is that possible to write on this memory file when the user gave me the "good" info, in order to simulate a "reload" so that the program could see this "new" info as if it was on the mem file at the beginning of the program ? 3-I tried to change by hand the infos in this file, but then vfp say "Memory file is invalid". Is it possible to write on a mem file, without changing it on a "invalid" mem file ? Is it possible to get the format of each field, and change the info ? How do we do it ? I hope I'm clear on what is my problem... I searched througth the net and google to have answers, but I didn't find a lot of infos... Any help welcome, and thanks by advance. Regards. JR.     - Returning to an object in a form. In the older version of FP I used the expression _CUROBJ = OBJNUM( ) to return to a place on a form. I have been trying to use the OBJECT.ACTIVECONTROL.PROPERTY to get back to a place in my form but run out of tries. Can anyone give me an example of how to get back to a field on a form after I call another form? I come back to my form now at the same command button that I call the form from. Imagine this, the Server time is 10 hours ahead of Client time. When you edit a file and check it in at 2/23 9:00PM (Client time), but on the Server side, time of this version reads 2/24 7:00AM. So in the future when you need to get version of 2/23 9:00PM actually, you may mistakenly get another version. Usability: SAW is the best. All the Windows of SAW is in Win32 style. It can detect if a file is changed automatically.     - VCX not found Hi everyone, I am facing a strange problem. In my application, I make extensive use of Visual and non Visual classes. The software is working fine in the Development environment [VFP8]. But in the generated EXE, I get the error message "Error Instantiating class. d:\shrdbms\instal\vcx\shcustom.vcx not found!"     - Utility to extract/print all enumerations? I am writing a VFP8 application and am automating a third-party application that offers a COM interface. Unfortunately, the company that wrote this third-party application does not have a list of the enumerations used in their system. As a result, I can only determine enumeration values by using the VB object browser. This is very tediuous. Is there a tool around that can extract and print all of the enumerations in a COM server? I know this could probably be programmed using TLBINF32.DLL, but I was hoping a freeware tool already existed that can just be given the name of the COM server to dump all of the enumerations and their values.     - VFP and Active Directory Hi, Is there any way to programatically change the AD. I specifically want to change the profile location and home directory paths for about 60 users.     - Add Method Problem I am having something wierd going on in VFP 9. I have a formset and go to form -> new method to create a method. I type in the name "testMethod" and hit add. This then adds the method to the currently active form in my formset, and not to the formset. I can go into the form.testMethod and add code to it. When I save and close out of the formset and then go back in, the method does not show up under the form nor does it show up under the formset. My workaround is to go to edit property method in the menu and then do add method there. Then everything works fine. Is anybody else having this same issue? P.S.     - Landscape reports Hi. In one of my applications I have a couple of Landscape reports. I send these reports to the windows spooler. Sending characters strings and using SET PRINT FONT. To do this, I test PRTINFO(1) = 0. If true,= SYS(1037) to allow the user to switch the landscape mode. Couple of problems with this technique. One, the user might not switch to landscape. Two, that print device stays in landscape mode until he switches back or exits FoxPro. Question. Is there a way my code could switch the print device back and forth from landscape mode?     - VFP7 view with uncommitted changes - weird behaviour I have a situation, reproducable very occasionally but not consistently, where a requery after tableupdate fails with uncommited changes. I've looked at the view cursor in Debug and it looks really strange. This is the scenario (code that creates the view is below). The view is of a child table and has a filter in place equal to the id of the parent table. The view is in item number order. Add 5 records (items 1 to 5) to the view, delete the 3rd one (causes item 4 and 5 to resequence to item 3 and 4) and then save. Save scans the file (with set deleted off) and issues a tableupdate on each record. The subsequent requery sometimes fails. Browsing the cursor shows why it has failed but I can't see a reason for the cursor being in the state it is in! Debug says these are 8 records. Browsing displays 5. 2 records belonging to the previous header even though there is a filter in place so I don't know why these are showing. The 2nd item of the added items does not display. After setting the filter off and setting deleted off, 6 records display, the same 5 as above plus the deleted one. I then set the order off and 8 records then appeared. The 8th record was full of zeroes and characters that look like a thick letter I in some of the fields. Where this came from I have no idea. I have no idea where to go from this point as it seems to be VFP7 doing something outwith my control. Has anyone had this kind of problem before? Thanks for any help. Go to Tools | Options | IDE and specify the font settings for each
file/window type. You may want to check the "Override individual settings"
to override existing font settings stored in the foxuser resource file.
