Hi guys,

I moved the database to another directory and validate it. I can open and
modify any table in the database, but other users can open in read only
mode.
I enabled full control permision, in all the physical files and direcories,
for everyone, but still they can't write to the tables neither from the
command window nor from an application.

they also tried out with

open database mydatabase exclusive

Any help very appreciated

TIA

I did that, and i'm using windows xp. However, the database is in a linux
server under samba.
As a owner of the directory in which is the database I remove the readonly
atribute and gave full control to any user so they can read, write, update
etc.. I did the same with all the files in that direcory. But VFP 8.0 open
the database as a readonly for other users.

When you post a problem then find a solution on your own, it's
good to post the details of the solution so others can learn
from your experience. What specific permission setting was in
place and how did you correct this setting?

Sorry for that.

Actually the tables in the database didn't have permition, for other than
the owner, to read/write the files. As owner of the files I granted
read/write to any user and the problem was solved.
