    - Unable to send multiple emails via VFP with any SMTP control Hi, I saw various examples of sending emails via VFP via SMTP. I tried 3 different packages (JMail, ASPEMAIL, etC) and all of them send the email the first time I execute the code. When I try to rerun the code, VFP simply hangs.     - Combo in a grid - tooltip fails Hi all! I have problem with a tooltip for a combo inside a grid. The mouse pointer over the combo does not immediately fire the tooltiptext as expected.     - VFP7, Vista and FILE() problem Hi, Very interesting problem. I have a shared folder on a server mapped to a drive letter, say "Z". FILE("Z:\folder\filename.ext") always returns false on Vista with VFP 7 SP1 exe build. It works on Windows 2000 and XP machines. Running as administrator does not solve this problem.     - Question about ComboBox in VFP9 Hi, I am trying to create a Combobox control in VFP linked to a specific field in a table. The Rowsource for the Combobox is ARRAY with 10 predefined values. I believe that this table is closed in the first segment of code and then the intent is to delete the table prior to exitting. The error being logged is "file is in use" and it nominates a file that is actually open as the returned value from DBF() which is called in my error handler. The error handler gets called 3 times and nominates the line numbers for each of the erase commands as the line numbers for the errors. In my error handler I do a LIST STATUS and nowhere in the status output is there a reference to the "snap" files so I am assuming that the file is in fact closed and so it should be erasible. I am wondering if the erase is being attempted before the table is actually closed and so logging the error (and the reference to the other file is just an artifact of the state of the application at the time). If that is the case what can I do to delay the execution of the erase commands until after the table is closed properly? I have CENTURY set to ON, and when running from the EXE and writing the date to a memo file in a table (e.g. DTOC(chargedate) ) it gets written as 03/31/07. When running from the development environment it's written as 03/31/2007. Also vexing is the fact that when running the EXE, date fields in the table are seen as 03/31/07 until mouse-clicked, when they expand to 03/31/2007 (i.e. if cursor is in the field).     - Can This Grid Behavior Be Altered? Hello and thanks in advance for the help. Suppose you have a grid that is based on a cursor. Lets say that 10 rows are visible on the screen. Lets also say that there are 30 records in the cursor that is being "browsed" by this grid. If you use the down arrow on the scroll bar to scroll through the cursor, it will keep scrolling until the last record of the cursor is in row 1 of the grid.     - VFP 9 project question I have a vfp system where the source is in two folders. Dev folder for forms, prgs, frx, etc. Plus a sub folder containing all graphics, bmp, jpg, gif, ico, etc. The graphics are mainly used on forms and buttons on forms. I have added a createobject routine that creates a form from a prg. this form contains a graphic that is not used anywhere else. I manually added the graphic file to the project in the other files section. It is not marked as excluded When I build the project no errors are encountered but when I run the exe from the production location the graphic cannot be found. I tried placing a reference to the graphic into the main program within an if statement that is never true but this didn't help either.     - Oracle ODBC driver from Microsoft vs Oracle Hi, I have some applications written in VFP9 accessing Oracle databases thru ODBC, for some unknown reason, I always install the ODBC driver provided by Oracle, but it seems to be more heavy and time consumming to install it, so I wonder how would it be to use the ODBC driver provided by microsoft that is already installed on any PC, has somebody onthe forum used the microsoft driver? How do I get build project and build exe to execute in a VFP .exe called from the command line? I got a feature not available message when I tried. There is a full VFP system on the computer I used. I could work with VFP for a while more if only I could read and write = UTF-8 in Sql Server without double byte translations leading to ??? = (unless somebody knows how to do this with the current VFP) What are other requests that people would still have?     - Making a calling form invisible I have developed an Output class to handle reporting, exporting etc. This is called from scores of forms with a few parameters. After it has all been designed I have decided that I would like to make invisible whatever form calls the Output form. I can do this by: thisform.visible = .F. DO FORM <outputform> thisform.visible = .T. but I would like to avoid having to edit so many forms. Is there a way I can achieve this from the Output class without having to edit all these calling forms. I am NOT passing the calling form as an object parameter to the class. I wish now that I was! I don't do so, but surely VFP could only
automate some OCR component. Search
something with an ActiveX or at least
command line interface.

Something I found by searching
OCR COM interface is ABBYY
Finereader Engine SDK. PDF conversion
is within it's feature list.
