The MS Chart control is getting to be a bit limiting for an application I
have. I don't need anything terribly fancy, but I do need more control over
some aspects, in particular axis labels. Also, I must have several charts on
one form, so speed is a concern. Simplicity of use is also up there.

Anyone used a chart control that they can recommend?

I tried the Graphics Engine or whatever that many people rave about, but
found it somewhat klunky to use, and I had flexibility issues. I've used
TeeChart with great success (not to be confused with MS TChart). It handles
very large data sets well, and is quite flexible. http://www.teechart.com/.
The drawback is the docs aren't that great, but if you can figure out how to
use it, you can do quite a bit with it.

Thanks. I'll check it out.

I'm dealing with pretty small data sets in this app. But there are a million
chart products out there, and I don't have the time to evaluate more than a
few, so I appreciate recommendations.

A question about TeeChart: There doesn't seem to be an evaluation version
available. How do you get data into it? I saw from the web site that it can
access ADO record sets, but so far I'm not using these in the app, and I
don't want to have to add another technology just for this. Can I just feed
it data from a cursor?

Like I said earlier, the data sets will be small, certainly less than 100
data points. But they may change frequently. Does TeeChart handle that well?

You can download an evaluation version of the TeeChart Pro ActiveX
Control from:
http://www.steema.com/downloads/form_ax_eval.html

Once installed on your machine you will find examples for FoxPro under
the examples folder.

Yes, it does indeed. If you have any further TeeChart questions, please
do not hesitate to contact Steema support from:
