    - grid row alignment I have a page with a grid based on one local view ("the list page") & a details page based on another couple of views ("the details page"). The problem I have is when you click the button to show the list page and set the record pointer on the correct record, set focus to the grid, even refresh etc it will be highlighted on the row it was before leaving the list page.     - Help files not displaying on some machines I have an application in foxpro 6. Help files are all "*.chm". On machines that do not display help when F1 is pressed: Help is on Help file paths are correct Issuing a "Help" command has no effect. The application is the same on all machines so it appears to be related to the machine, not the program. These machines will display a help file when the file is double clicked in an open folder.     - SQL datatime Field Having upsized my data to SQL 2000, my date fields are stored as "datetime" in the sqlserver. This causes problems in my forms where users were to only enter dates.     - HowTo?: re-index LINKed FoxPro files (Access 2002/2003, Windows XP Professional) Scenario: The customer is developing in Access 2003 and installing the .mdb to systems running Access 2002. The customer is running legacy third party accounting software that uses FoxPro files. He has successfully used the ODBC driver for Visual FoxPro to update the legacy FoxPro .DBF tables. There are two other FoxPro files (.CDX, .FPT). After the customer updates the FoxPro .DBF, he unfortunately must open the third party accounting software's utility menu to re-index the files. If he does not do this manual task, the transactions that he added via Access are not visible in the third party accounting software. This manual step prevents the customer from fully automating the transfer of Access data into the legacy FoxPro database. That is the first part of this problem. The second part is the accounting system data is resident on a file server, and the customer is forced to LINK to the legacy tables. He has tried to update the legacy LINKed tables but Access will not re-index LINKed tables for him. I have been searching KB and MSDN and can not find any information about this problem. QUESTION: is it possible from within Access to programmatically re-index FoxPro files? ???? If yes, what is the Access command for re-indexing? If no, I assume (hope) it could be done with a few lines of MS Foxpro or C++ code ... or maybe there are some Foxpro utility programs that could do this via a simple shell to a command line (.cmd/.bat) file. ???     - using datatoclip ? Hi, I'm just wondering how DataToClip can be used or better : why it can be used and in what cases if there is no ClipToData function or is there ? It's because I'm looking for a way to give my users the ability to copy a set of records from one table to another table with Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V.     - How can I determine when a file has finished copying so I can grab I need to import and process text files as they are copied to a folder. Some files can be a few megs in size and I don't want to grab them until they are copied completely. A coworker uses LEN(FILETOSTR('filename')) in a loop with a 10 second WAIT and grabs the file when the size stays the same two times in a row. Anybody know of a better solution?     - VFP Web Base Problem Hi All, I have a huge VFPv6 application (use VFP local database) and want 20 users can concurrently execute it through Internet Explorer. Since I have no time and money to modify this application again, I search a quick method to solve this problem but not very sure can it work. Run this VFPv6 application under Linux server with Win4lin or VMWARE (I am not sure which one is best for VFP applciaton using native table) etc... Then I install VNC Server in this Linux Server. So, other people can CONCURRENTLY access the VFPv6 application through Internet Explorer (I know VNC support client use IE). Does anyone succeed in such above case ? Please give me some advice... I will not try Window Terminal Server becuase users can not access my application through IE. Citrix is a best solution but it is very very expensive!! I have read over the Windows XP Logo Requirements and was wondering where a VFP database should be stored. Currently we are storing the database in "Program Files\[Company Name]\[Program Name]" Is this correct or should it be moved to the "All Users\Application Data\[Company Name]\[Program Name]" folder.     - Using 3rd party OCX containing various objects I am trying to use a 3rd party active component, called DICOMObjects made by http://www.medicalconnections.co.uk. The sad truth is that they don't provide sample codes or applications for VFP when other languages like VB, Delphi, VC are supported. Unlike ActiveX controls that can be dragged and dropped on the forms, these components consist of objects that can be included as a part of the programming codes. In Visual Basic, it had "Component" menu under "Project" tab where you can add ocx files to the project. Once added, all the objects defined by DICOMOBJECTS.OCX became available.     - URGENT: FoxPro COM Object Please Please Please. I am in time crunch and need to have fast access to a FoxPro database (*.dbc file). Thru VB, I tried using both OLE-DB and ODBC drivers for fox pro to insert/update data in that database. However, there are certain code in the foxpro triggers and field validation rules that are not supported under ODBC or OLE-DB. So my app fails. Up until now I have been editing the stored procedures in foxpro to comment out the incompatible code that causes the problem. But I can no longer do that. The 3rd party app which has the foxpro DB has been updated in such a way that changing the stored procedures codes will break the 3rd party app, which is not an option anymore. Someone suggested creating a very simple 1 method COM object using foxpro. Thet single method will take a string as input and return a ADO25.Recordset object. The method will exeucte ANY sql passed to it after connecting to the DBC file. Since the method is written in foxpro it should have no problems with the stored procedures within the DBC. Is this possible?? Please help me write this COM object. I have no idea what to do or how to begin.     - Index problems I have one customer that is getting the following error Index does not match the table. Delete the index file and re-create the index She has gotten it 3 times in the past 2 days, each time I have deleted the index and re-created. Each time after that the program runs fine, (for a while). The line of code that it errors on is an UPDATE SQL statement. This is run on a table with buffering set to 5.     - Project manager doesn't keep track of changed files I upgraded an FPW project to VFP8. I have to manually delete the fxp's when changing the prg's, because the project manager isn't paying attention to the fact that I changed them. I completely threw away the project file and built a new one from scratch, yet the problem persists. I opened the project as a dbf and cleared all the time stamps and object code. The problem persists. Code pages have been assigned, the project has been packed and rebuilt, yet whenever I change a prg (opening it from the project manager), the old fpx still gets called. The fxp's are in the same directory as the prg's. If I choose Compile from the Program menu, it works properly, but I shouldn't have to do that. Hi,

Is there a way to strip a scr/sct file
into a prg.
I have made some forms with the formdesigner
and would like to get rid of them and have the code in my prg.

While this will not produce a fully runnable piece of code in all cases
(especially when containership is involved), you can use the class browser
on your .SCX file and use the "View code" button.
