Hi,

Is it possible to develop apps to run on a pocket PC?

The requirement is for a highly portable solution and a laptop/notebook
would be too cumbersome.

Any assistence greatly appreciated.
Jan

No. You cannot run VFP code on any version of the PocketPC operating system.
But there are other ways:

Hi Jan:

I don't know if this will help, but the July 2003 issue of FoxPro Advisor
has an article on running VFP on the Tablet PC. See this link for more
information:

I hope this helps.

lol - what a joke - basically the way for VFP developers to write pocketpc
apps is to convert everything but the data to .NET.
anyone still think that dropping vfp/.net integration was a good thing ?

Many thanks to all of you for your responses. It appears the tablet PC is a
viable option and I will research that for my client's requirements.

Gerry,
Yes, because it would have been less "integration" and more "major =
crippling" to conform to .NET.
