I am looking to incorporate a method into my software package for scanning
documents. I am currently using VFP 8, but plan on upgrading within a year
to VFP 9.

Does anyone have sugesstions, for code or research locations, to program for
a Twain compatable scanner? This needs to be generic enough to allow my
customers to by the scanners at thier local office supply store. (cannot be
specific to a scanner).

Thanks in advance

Dan,

EZTwain works very well for me
a bit pricy +-350$ but it works
and Vfp samples are available (a good wizard).
there is an other one for about 35$ but
I couldn't get it working.

regards
christophe

Hi Dan:

Here is a link for Twain controls an other info:

http://www.ml-consult.demon.co.uk/foxst-29.htm

Also, go to the Downlaod section of www.universalthread.com and query on
"Twain" in the Description search field. I found something called the
"Scanner ActiveX Control."

I hope this helps.

I have seen the EZ Twain before, and had wondered if it was still in use.

The other "Scanner ActiveX Control" is new. I will check it out.

Thanks for the help
Dan

Dan

We are using VFP 8 here.

We use EZTwain with Fujitsu fi-4120Cdj scanners. We scan to PDF.
