When I install a VFox8 exe on a PC that has already MYOB installed, then
I don't need to install the Vfox8 libraries using setup.exe. In 2
previous cases our exe runs fine without running setup. On a 3rd site
we have problems since they reinstalled Windows xp. We don't know if
MYOB's libraries or Vfox version are the same as ours. We would like to
run our own setup, but that always seems to clash with what MYOB has in
place, and then we have to un-install. The problem encountered on site
3 is the program seems to run fine at first, then freezes up without
showing an error message. Plse help. Jeldrick

Hi Jeldrick,

I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with MYOB. What is it? Which version of FoxPro
was it created with? If there was a service pack for that version was it
applied?

What is your VFP8 app like?

When your VFP8 app was compiled was it compiled in VFP8 with the service
pack? The runtimes for VFP must match both version and service pack.

Versionitis can be a tough nut to crack. Have you contacted the makers of
MYOB?

Are you putting the runtimes in a shared location? Would putting them in
your app's directory work for you instead?

Seems that it is an accounting package. I downloaded a trial and installed
it, but couldn't find any Foxpro element in it. Can you be more precise?
