Hi All,

I have this funny problem with Vfp 9, very funny it makes you wonder. It
started with Vfp 8 and never get fixed.

Try to change the page's caption to 'Hello (Bracket)' and you will see
'(Hello (Bracket'. Quite ridiculous really.

Hi Eric,

I just tried 'Hello (Bracket)' and Hello (Bracket) in the VFP8 SP1 screen
and they displayed as I would expect.

Regards,

Mike

This sort of problem has been reported before but can't be reliably
reproduced. Some people see it, some people don't.

Are you running a non-US version of Windows (or VFP)?

Hi,

I see. I tried it on office and home workstation.. both having the same
problem. I am using English version of VFP8/9 and running on English version
of WinXP Pro and Home with SP2. Interesting as I thought it is a common bug.

Actually any special character like *,}]\-~ after the last character in the
caption will be displayed as the first character.

It's quite UNcommon. And elusive.

With two people running the same version of Windows, one will see it and the
other won't.
