ah - I had a few emails with him too .
and he finally gave me a web site address of his company . Take a look,
carefully. They seem to be legite -but even a one-horse operation would not
just start an advert for developers with a scant 2 line missive [in my
opinion]
Not really sure what he's on about - but if you guys are seeing something
weird on brainbench -
then I think we should call the brainbench folks and see whats up.
here's a transcript , in reverse order
---
Joe - thanks for your time .
If I can't glean info from your website - then I'll know something's up.
If you don't hear from me again - thanks for your time.
mondo regards [Will]

Joe -
*whew* - finally get down to the meat of the matter .
so thats the gig . The description sounds like the opening line in my
resume. Interesting .
Great .. Do you want someone THERE in your datacenter / programming shop
/ MIS department OR will a telecommute be sufficient for you ?
What is your firm ? How were your receivables the last 3 quarters? No
receivables ?? How is your firm funded ?? Where is your firm? Whats your
NDA look like ?
I can appreciate your BrainBench threshold, but I'm not going to take
that test . If you can read, you know where my resume is and who I am.
There is a lot of paper on me in the normal places - I use my real name
in all of them. I did not find YOU listed anywhere in ANY VFP directory
- so I am starting to have my doubts - but will only serve to confirm
the earlier doubt started with your original scant missive an MS news
group.
Please let me know your thoughts?
and Finally -
[no phone calls please] -> I am so tickled.
Not knowing WHO you are, or where your firm is, except that perhaps you
might be in Canada [maybe] - why would I initiate a phone call ? [think
on that one and let me know]
mondo regards [Will]

Joe - I don't understand .
If you don't have a gig in mind already - why would you have any
interest in a VFP developer who has passed the brain bench exam ?
Thanks in advance for your answer ..

Hi Joe - thanks for the email back .
I'm asking you specifically -
Is there some reason you are wanting the brainbench results?? Is there a
potential gig involved ??? NOTHING I'VE SEEN SO FAR HAS BEEN MENTIONING
A GIG . If you have gig information - do please be forthcoming with that
info.
please let me know your thoughts ..

Dear FoxPro developer:
Thank you very much for responding to our posting.
Please provide us your www.brainbench.com "Transcript ID#" so we could
see your profile. Could you pass this test again and which result would
you expect now? If you haven't taken this test before: What are your
Visual FoxPro 6.0 skills??? Which result would you expect? Explain
please.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Thank you very much for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Joe
