Multiple columns in a report

I want to create a grouped report with a paragraph of text in the group
header and group footer going across the width of the page, and the details
(amounts and dates) displayed in 2 columns in the detail band.

Is this possible? It seems that if I set it to 2 columns it affects the
header/footer bands as well. Is there any way round this?

In VFP9, you should be able to accomplish this with multiple detail bands.

Thanks for answering Fred. I have tried multiple detail bands, but it seems
that the multiple column option applies to the whole page, not jut to a
detail band.

OK, I'll make note of that. I've had very little need for either multiple
bands or columns, so I wasn't familiar enough with the combination.
