I use the Terminal font in size 14 to get a nice and readable fixed pitch font
sometimes, on some pc's the font gets screwed up , but it's only apparent in
VFP. Using the terminal font in notepad for example it still displays
correctly.

anyone else has seen this problem or know how to fix it?. This is not a
TrueType font and is not visible in the Control Panel with the other fonts.

Hi MichelRoy:

Can you give us more information regarding the scenario? Are you in the
development environment or a custom executable? Are you taking about the
screen or printing to a print device?

If you switch to VGA when the problem occurs, do you see the behavior?

I hope this helps.

the font is used on forms for the screen not for printing.
running from an EXE.
i've seen it happen on at 2 or 3 customer sites on 1 or 2 pc's each time.
One time it was after they installed Adobe Illustrator. The font then
displays as if it was a 4-5 point font rendered with little blocks. this Font
is found in more than 1 (.fon) files. like vgaoem, vgasys... I don't know
exactly which one is used. Maybe
something got changed in the registry?.

Hi MichelRoy:

Since this occurs in a custom EXE, I think VFP is not finding the proper
desktop font and is engaging in font mapping. Try the ideas in these
articles:

110772 PRB: Window Sizes in .EXE Change w/ MODIFY WINDOW SCREEN FONT
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;110772
100441 PRB: Windows Are in Different Positions When Executable Is Run
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;100441

I hope this helps.

the windows\fonts folder.

Yeah, but you probably whacked some other app in the process. :-(
