We have some Access 98 applications which are linking to FoxPro tables
but when we converted to Access 2000 our applications did not work and
It gave an error "Can't find installable ISAM." Later I found out that
Microsoft FoxPro driver (ISAM) is no longer supported(included)
starting Access 2000. We will not be able to link directly to FoxPro
table. To link to FoxPro tables, we need to create a Visual FoxPro
ODBC driver and then use this odbc driver to link to FoxPro tables. I
was able to link to FoxPro tables using the Visual FoxPro ODBC drivers
except one table. This table is not available in the foxpro table list
to be linked. It shows all the other FoxPro tables except this one and
I do not know why. This is very important table for some of my
applications. This table is probably the biggest, i.e., It has lot of
data. I do not whether there is any size limitation. Any help will be
greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot Sohail

Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? I would greatly
appreciate any responses.

Thanks,

Jimmy

Hi Jimmy:

I have heard of this problem before, but I have never been able to
duplicate it.
Are these free tables or tables in a DBC? Do you have the VFP ODBC driver
configured for free tables or a DBC? Does someone have the table opened
exclusively? If the table is opened exclusively, it will not be shown.

Try creating a new folder, and copying all the files to this new folder.
Now, please try to link to the files in the new folder from Access. Do you
see all the tables now?

You might want to disable any anti virus on the machine while doing this
test or at least prevent it from scanning the folders in question.

Do you know what version of VFP created the files?

I hope this helps.
