I have been testing out using a legacy 2.6w app on XP boxes and have
been encountering "Not A Table/DBF" error messages which are temporary
and incorrect. It will happen when I am using a shared table in 2
different instances of foxpro at the same time. Does anyone have any
knowledge of a work around or fix to this?

Thanks,

Hi Jonathan

Please let me know the following

1. Where is your data folder residing? On the net or local XP machine
2. What type of user you are? Supervisor or Limited
3. Are you logging on the Machine only or on a Domain Server
4. What is the size of the table that causes the error

Maybe I can be of help if you will provide me more information..

Thanks for responding Lhan,

The database resides on a windows 98 box on a shared local peer to
peer network. The database is about 75 megs and since it is peer to
peer/mapped network drive all users have full access. There is no
domain server. Also there is no problem accessing this data on windows
98/95 boxes only XP and 2000. I am wondering if it has something to do
with NTFS vs FAT drive access?
