Hi Ed:
The only versions of FoxPro that are currently supported by Microsoft are
VFP 7.0 and 8.0. Both of these products only run on the Windows platform.
I suggest that you buy VFP 8.0 and then add Service Pack 1. This will give
you the latest version with the most up-to-date features and bug fixes.
To get up-to-speed with VFP, you might want to look at the online training
from these web sites:
http://www.free-ed.net/fr03/lfc/030101/129/default.asp
http://www.takenote.com
You might also want to look at the VFP books available from
www.hentzenwerke.com.
Here are some conversion resources useful when moving FoxPro 2.x code in to
VFP:
Chuck Urwiler's FoxPro Advisor article at:
http://foxproadvisor.com/doc/05239
Also, this is a link to an older white paper on converting from FoxPro 2.x
to VFP 5.0. While the information is a little old, much of it is still
applicable to later versions:

I hope this helps.
