All,
My application is VFP8 and installs via Installshield VFP limited edition.
Just recently when users install the application they have been getting the
following error:
programname.exe
No disk in drive. Insert disk in drive E
Cancel Tryagain Continue

I thought it may have been because a CD was in my CD drive when I built the
application (exe). I have built the exe again with nothing in my disk drive
and distributed it but the error still comes up.

Of note: My project is on my E: drive but has been their for years and years
and I have never seen this before but it makes me think it may be related.

One client has three Windows XP Home edition comptuers and this only does
this one one of them.....Does anyone have any ideas of what to look for?

Brian,

I ran into this problem with version 2.6. My development machine had
two hard drives, C: and D:. If I built the exe on that machine and then
ran it on a machine with a CD drive D:, the machine would complain. I
don't remember the error message, but the quick and dirty was to put a
CD in the D: drive. Eventually I got sick of explaining and recompiled
on a machine with no D: drive.

Brian....

I also had this problem using 2.6. All created/edited/,modified my
project on F. All of a sudden, new users were having a install
problem. Anyway..... I changed everything over to the local "C" drive,
recompiled the project and redistributed. No problems since then.
Hope it helps.

Nick and Dave,
Thanks for the replies. I recompiled the exe and then completely rebuilt
the Installshield install and it seems to work now. I beleive it was in the
Installshield package I had built.
