    - insert memory variable value into email OK, here's what I'm trying to do and can't figure out how. I've got a small query that I'm setting to run automatically once a week. it pulls a couple of numbers for me and stores each number in it's own memory variable. We'll say the two memvars are mval1 and mval2. I want it to email me the results of those memory variables. I have the query completed. I have the email portion running but can't figure out how to get the memory variable value into the email. All its doing is putting the memvar name into my email. My email code is as follows and I would like to continue using this type of emailing technique if possible: oMSG = createobject("CDO.Message") oMSG.To = me@mydomain.com oMSG.From = "me@mydomain.com" oMSG.Subject = " Weekly Numbers" oMSG.HTMLBody = "This is the text for the body of the. the number of visitors is &mval1 the number of those that made purchases is &mval2.     - Unable to send multiple emails via VFP with any SMTP control Hi, I saw various examples of sending emails via VFP via SMTP. I tried 3 different packages (JMail, ASPEMAIL, etC) and all of them send the email the first time I execute the code. When I try to rerun the code, VFP simply hangs.     - Combo in a grid - tooltip fails Hi all! I have problem with a tooltip for a combo inside a grid. The mouse pointer over the combo does not immediately fire the tooltiptext as expected. The user must first focus the combo with a click. After that the tooltip appear. Is there a workaround for this? CFUDG member Brian Marquis will show us a new technique for developing interactive applications utilizing the latest Web 2.0 techniques to access data stored in Foxpro tables. He borrows the client-side frameworks utilized by Ruby on Rails and replaces the backend system with a Foxpro multi-threaded dll. Ruby on Rails' main tenants are "Don't Repeat Yourself" and "Convention over Configuration". It turns out that Foxpro developers have followed these practices for years starting with concepts that were introduced by Yair Alan Griver in "Codebook". Brian shows how these techniques can easily be extended to provide a Foxpro Web 2.0 application framework. Following Brian's presentation, there will be time for more member demos. Also bring your opinions about Microsoft's announcement of "No VFP 10", and friends and co-workers are welcome to elaborate their own strategies for bridging to infinity and beyond.     - VFP7, Vista and FILE() problem Hi, Very interesting problem. I have a shared folder on a server mapped to a drive letter, say "Z". FILE("Z:\folder\filename.ext") always returns false on Vista with VFP 7 SP1 exe build. It works on Windows 2000 and XP machines. Running as administrator does not solve this problem. FILE(\\Servername\....\filename.ext) works, but I can't use this. Anyone else experiencing this problem or knows a solution?     - Question about ComboBox in VFP9 Hi, I am trying to create a Combobox control in VFP linked to a specific field in a table. The Rowsource for the Combobox is ARRAY with 10 predefined values. However, I want the user to be able to type in other values into the combobox if they need to enter values other than the 10 predefined values. If the table field contains a value other than the 10 predefined values, the combobox just shows blank.     - Wrong file? I have a code segment that is occasionally logging an error. The segment is below: IF USED(gcsnapshot) USE IN (gcsnapshot) ENDIF ERASE (gctempdir + 'snap' + gcuserid + '.dbf') ERASE (gctempdir + 'snap' + gcuserid + '.cdx') ERASE (gctempdir + 'snap' + gcuserid + '.fpt') gcsnapshot is the alias for the table gctempdir\snapgcuserid.dbf. I believe that this table is closed in the first segment of code and then the intent is to delete the table prior to exitting. The error being logged is "file is in use" and it nominates a file that is actually open as the returned value from DBF() which is called in my error handler. The error handler gets called 3 times and nominates the line numbers for each of the erase commands as the line numbers for the errors. In my error handler I do a LIST STATUS and nowhere in the status output is there a reference to the "snap" files so I am assuming that the file is in fact closed and so it should be erasible. I am wondering if the erase is being attempted before the table is actually closed and so logging the error (and the reference to the other file is just an artifact of the state of the application at the time). If that is the case what can I do to delay the execution of the erase commands until after the table is closed properly?     - Reconstructing a DBF from its index My client lost a DBF. However, I am not too worried because it is indexed on two fields which are the only essential ones. Here's the situation: USE XY INDEX ON X+Y TO XY.IDX (X and Y are character fields). I've looked at XY.IDX with MODIFY FILE XY.IDX, and it doesn't look too arcane. It does have stretches of nulls and control characters (maybe that's the famous Rushmore!), but the fields X and Y are clearly visible. I have CENTURY set to ON, and when running from the EXE and writing the date to a memo file in a table (e.g. DTOC(chargedate) ) it gets written as 03/31/07. When running from the development environment it's written as 03/31/2007. Also vexing is the fact that when running the EXE, date fields in the table are seen as 03/31/07 until mouse-clicked, when they expand to 03/31/2007 (i.e. if cursor is in the field).     - Can This Grid Behavior Be Altered? Hello and thanks in advance for the help. Suppose you have a grid that is based on a cursor. Lets say that 10 rows are visible on the screen. Lets also say that there are 30 records in the cursor that is being "browsed" by this grid. If you use the down arrow on the scroll bar to scroll through the cursor, it will keep scrolling until the last record of the cursor is in row 1 of the grid. The behavior that I would prefer is that it stop scrolling when the last record is fully visible in the grid (row 10 in this example). Is there any way to make this behavior happen?     - VFP 9 project question I have a vfp system where the source is in two folders. Dev folder for forms, prgs, frx, etc. Plus a sub folder containing all graphics, bmp, jpg, gif, ico, etc. The graphics are mainly used on forms and buttons on forms. I have added a createobject routine that creates a form from a prg. this form contains a graphic that is not used anywhere else. I manually added the graphic file to the project in the other files section. It is not marked as excluded When I build the project no errors are encountered but when I run the exe from the production location the graphic cannot be found. I tried placing a reference to the graphic into the main program within an if statement that is never true but this didn't help either. If I copy the graphic to the production folder to the same relative folder location as development it is found. Why isn't this found. Anyone with experience in getting this to work correctly??? To summarize, I don't know of any, I think if there would be one,
it would be posted in the wiki. There is a slight chance there is
some interface or plugin to some UML tool.
