I know this has been asked before, but the answers aren't exactly what I'm
looking for.

I have built an application to run on individual PCs. I, however, would
like to store the data in a central location (ie. a web server or at a
dedicated IP adress.) I do not want to build a Web based application where
I need to use a browser.

I have looked at West Winds and Foxweb. Nothing wrong with them, but they
both seem to be Web application (maybe I just haven't gotten deep enough
into it.) Citrix seems to be far too expensive for what I'm doing.

Any ideas are welcome.

Thanks.

Boyd

Hi Boyd:

Since you mentioned the possibility of assessing the data from a dedicated
IP address, have you looked at this white paper from Rick Strahl's site?
http://www.west-wind.com/presentations/internetenabling/InternetEnabling.htm

He has code that shows how to access data via an IP address.

I hope this helps.
