Automatic Mail Deletion

How do you setup a rule to automatically delete email older the 6 months.

Use the auto-archive function for that. It offers the option of deleting old
mail rather than archiving it.

Is that something that can be applied globally. I am not familiar with
mailbox manager rules. Is that through the exchange system manager?
