In Excel 2002, those little triangular comment indicators display in
the upper right corner of their cell.

I want them in the U.L. corner instead. Can I tell Excel to do that?

(There is no such option in Tools / Options / View's Comments panel.)

Thanks.

Nope.

If it's really important to you, maybe you could hide the indicator and add a
triangle shape over the corner you like.

(I wouldn't bother doing, though.)

Dave:

Thanks very much for reply.

I suppose putting the indicator at the far right of the cell makes
some sense, if it gets it out of the way of your data.

But in other senses, it's totally bone-headed.

For me (and I suspect for many), your data occupies only half the
cell's width. When there is data in the next cell to the right, then
(if both cells are left-justified) the stupid indicator sits, like,
one frexel (that's the pixel width of a freckle) away from the WRONG
data.

Well, minor complaint, I guess.

Thanks again.
