    - how to handle Clipboard memory dumping from Excel I have a macro that opens another spreadsheet and copies a large volume of data from it and pastes it into another spreadsheet. It then goes back to that source spreadsheet, closes it and returns to the pasted into spreadsheet. Windows prompts the user if they want to keep or delete the large volume of data in the clipboard.     - Confused with Drop Down Menus I need to create a worksheet for some coursework that creates invoices quotes etc. for companys.     - Dropdowns to Activex listboxes Hi All, I have 8 dropdown boxes on a worksheet that reference an array (A5:A12 on a different worksheet (Player Array) and once a team is selecte form the dropdown the team members are added into the sheet auto, wha I want to do is change the dropdowns for activex listboxes so I hav more control over the properties ie: font size.     - Copy unique values from 1 range in multiple worksheets to a list I have a workbook with multiple worksheets representing dates of classes. On each worksheet it has all the class information including participant names (B7:B20) the class date (B2) and various information about each participant (C7:G20). I want to create a worksheet that makes a list of all the unique values in cells B7:B20 (the participant names) across all worksheets in the workbook, the date they attended the class (B2 of their respective worksheet),followed by their remaining information (c7:c20 of the respective worksheet). Ideally this would be automatically sorted by participant name, but if that has to be done manually that's fine. Would like to get out of having to use Visual Basic, but if that's how it must be done, then that's how it must be done.     - File numbers I have about 10,000 files that need to be numbered 1 after the other. The sequence is MCV-337F MCV-338F etc, where only the number changes, not the letters.     - Need help with sorting and linking I have a master workbook on a single sheet that contains all of my data. I have another workbook that contains individual sheets dividing the data on my master list into subgroups. This workbook is linked up with the master workbook. I notice that if I sort the data on my master list in a particular order, the cell references on my linked workbook do not change, so that I'm ending up with wrong data on the linked workbook. I need the cell references to be dynamic rather than static so that if I do sorting on one workbook, the cell references in the linked workbook change to reflect the same data which is now in a different cell. Someone told me to remove the "$" symbol from all the links, but this is not working because (I think) I have several workbooks all linked together. So the last link is refering to another link, which is refering to another link, etc... I hope this is not too difficult to understand. I want to search for Q59367 in column B If it finds the number then change that number Q59367 to 1 Next I do a Find and Replace for w31111 in column B If it finds the number then change that number w31111 to 2 I do a Find and Replace for S94262 in column B If it finds the number then change that number S94262 to 3 And so on upto 54 numbers. Then I do an ascending sort for column B. This puts all records, in sequence, from 1 to 54 at the top of the spreadsheet. I then can select 1 to 54, copy and paste where ever. However, If it fails to find a number it does not place a record where the next sequence would be.     - Bitmaps in a listbox? I'm not quite sure how to explain what i want but here goes. I measure up kitchens for a living and whilst doing so i confirm with my clients, the cupboard door styles and accessories they will have in their kitchen. I use my lap top to enter in to a spreadsheet all the requirements and measurements. I have a check measure spreadsheet with lots of list boxes and check boxes.     - Inputting CHQs to spreadsheet I am inputting data into an excel spreadsheet. It is quite a laborious task - need help with speeding things up. I am entering cheque details onto worksheet. Headings used: Date - chq no. - Details - Total - Relevant sub-heading for total (electrical, sundries etc.) Invoice Paid (Yes/No) When entering the total for a chq I wonder could I get that figure to also be entered under the relevant subheading also without having to enter it twice. i.e Excel would recognise the relevant cell & enter the info. It seems to be the slowest part at the moment. I have done all the usual stuff of autofilling where possible, freeze panes etc. just this one thing seems to slow the process somewhat.     - Help on Formula Hi all, Newbie here! I think the post goes here....!?! I have a spread sheet that I cumulate rows G7:G16 (dollar amounts) wit total at G21. Now in H7 to H16 is where I put a "P" or empty t indicate if the corresponding G cell its payed for or not.     - Excel 2002 crashing when OpenDocumentsReadWriteWhileBrowsing enabled I have an issue with Excel 2002. Its patched up to SP2 with the security hotfixes. When OpenDocumentsReadWriteWhileBrowsing is set to 1 and a I attempt to open an excel file hosted on an Apache TomCat web server, Excel hangs and in turn makes the IE window freeze up. When I set this option to 0 the problem goes away. It appears to only affect this combination of web server and client settings. Has anyone else experienced this, or know anything about the issue?     - Help with a formula Hi I am doing an assessment for TAFE and need some help doing a formula, so if there is anybody out there willing to help, I would really appreciate it.     - IP and MAC lists I have an spreadsheet with several IP addresses and associated MAC addresses. How do I format the cells to accept only that type of input?     - Why does Excel Print Perfect Circles - 'Oval'!! Hi All. Perhaps someone has already found the answer to this problem but cannot find it and neither can the experts in a Computer Magazine. Excel 97 ~ 2000 insists on printing a perfect circle as an oval, cop the circle to Word and it prints as a circle. I have tried this o various machines with some using Office 2003 and all do the same, whic seems very odd to me. As I was installing a new partition an reinstalling all my programs I tried to print a circle from a fres installation of Office 2000 in case something was corrupted and gues what? I printed an oval circle. I have tried every permutation o choices in properties and can only get close by changing the % of eac size although this makes some odd shaped circles.     - conditional summing of arrays I would like to sumproduct 2 arrays up to the row where it first exceeds a given number. For example assume 2 arrays are as follows : 1,2,3,4,5 & 2,3,4,5,6 the sumproduct is 2,8,20,40,70.     - Convert .xls to .prn problem I wrote a macro in Excel that extracted records from the Access databas and saved the output as .prn file. It's been working fine for a fe months. Yesterday the users came across the following problem. One o the fields in the database is two character long. If that fiel contains IF, F is dropped when converting into .prn. Is there a setting that changes the behavior of the forward and backward
keys. I am trying to navigate excel using up, down, forward, back keys and I
don't move from cell to cell, but rather it just move the entire
sheet...active cell remains the same. This is MSOffice 2k3. I have the same
version on another machine with the same settings (in tools | options) and
it works fine. Thanks for any help.

It sounds like you hit ScrollLock on the keyboard on the misbehaving pc.

Try hitting it again to toggle it off.

Tim,

Most likely, your Scroll Lock key is on. Turn it off.
