Ok we have some excel files that get locked. Consist on a Win2k3 share.

Basically a user will open them up in Excel and then use File, Close but
keep excel 2003 open. So the file is closed!

Now another user tries to open the file but gets file is open by user open
as read only.

The first user must completly exit excel and then the file becomes
available.

I have done searches and can't find anything this specific. Please anyhelp
would be great.

Hi,
May be cache problem, i don't now. But if you want , more than one user at
the same time;

Open Excel File, Tools -- Share Workbook -- check the "Allow changes by
more...." click OK; Save and Close Workbook.
