I have installed office 08 but decided to keep office 2004 for excel (keep the visual basic). however, my syncing does not seem to work well, and once i got a notice of conflicts between the calendards of entourage 04 and entourage 08. This despite the fact that i have trashed the icon for entourage 04. how do i remove entourage 04 from the syncing routine? i also deleted the database and the spotlight index but still it seems to be syncing to the entourage 04 database.

You shouldn't be syncing with an old Identity. Are you sure it's not
referring to iCal or the Apple Address Book?

There is an Entourage calendar in iCal.

No for some reason, i am sure that it still attempts to sync with entourage 04, in fact even though i delete it, it keeps recreating a databased under /office 2004/main identity/database. I delete it and it keeps coming back. I guess that oculd be why iphone entries don't appear in my calendar.

Disable SyncService synching from Entourage 2004. You might even
consider trashing the Microsoft Sync Services application from Microsoft
Office 2004/Office. It shouldn't interfere with either Word or Excel.

One more thing....well a few more things.

Open Startup Items in System Preferences. Delete all Microsoft Database
daemons. Entourage will create a new one when launched.

Open Activity Monitor and be sure all Microsoft Database daemons are quit.

Log out/in and test.

Check iPhone and see if it is specifically looking at Entourage 2004 for
sync.
