Hi,

I opened a .ics file and did the ³get info² open with Entourage. Now my
email window opens, but no corresponding calendar event is created. What do
I need to do?

Thanks,
Julian

Hi Julian,

Check out my the conversation I had with Paul, one of the Entourage
MVPs (search for topic: Importing Events in the Calendar)

Unfortunately it appears that Entourage doesn't know how to make an
automatic entry from an .ics of the type that both you and I have
encountered.

The work-around, not very satisfactorily, is to have the .ics create an
e event in ICal, and then use a script that Paul developed to import
the entry into Entourage. Not sure if this will be a solution for you
(it certainly isn't for me). Paul's script is undoubtedly good for a
lot of things, but when it comes to the convenience of auto-adding a
calendar entry, I sure wish the fine folks at MS would have enabled
that in Entourage. I'm sure it works flawlessly in Outlook/Windoze ...
