 - Cannot rebuild Identity Store (disk space error) Ok, so I came across the database limitation of 4gig for your identity store file, when I went to rebuild the database (typical rebuild) holding option while startying Entourage it goes thru 75% of the files, and then tells me it cant proceed because not enough disk space.  - Exchange 2000 and Entourage X I have an Exchange 2000 server running IMAP. From my PC using Outlook I'm able to receive my IMAP mail. However, from a Mac using Entourage X I can't do so.  - Entourage and Linux mail server We are using a Linux mail server and neither Entourage 10.1.4 running on OSX.3 or Outlook Express on OS 9.1 will connect to the mail server. However OSX's Mail and Netscape Communicator work without a problem. The trouble is we don't want to use those applications, we want to use Entourage.  - Entourage freezes on "Quit" in Panther Ever since I upgraded to Panther, Entourage freezes when trying to quit program. The window disappears but the "title" bar still shows Entourage. The program also still shows open in the dock indicated by the small arrow pinting to it's icon. Sometimes the computer can end the program on shutdown and sometimes it can't, which it then requires me to "force quit" the program. Has anyone else noticed this problem since upgrading to Panther?  - Entourage crashes after computer awakes from standby It seems that whenever I return to the computer after it's been on standby and go to do anything in Entourage, it crashes. Sends a report to Apple (or is it Microsoft) then I can open it again and everything seems ok. How can I prevent this from happening? I've installed all the Office updates already.  - Threaded messages sorted by date? When viewing threaded messages, they seem to be sorted alphabetically. When I click on the Sent column to sort by date, the messages are no longer threaded.  - Hotmail accoumt Hi@All I have a problem with my email account from hotmail...! I wat to add the hotmail account to entourage and that wasn't the problem. When i want to send and receive my emails a error massage was appearing: HTTP error. The server cannot process the requirement. Error message: 1500 Knows anybody what the problem is?  - Entourage X Display of iPhoto pictures Entourage X and the latest iPhoto work good but there is one thing in Entourage that really bugs me. When the look at the photos in the body of the ENT message they are displayed side by side rather than a top to bottom like other mail programs.  - Reply Prompt When I reply to e-mails, the prompt goes to the bottom of the compose window (under the previous message). I don't like this because the recipient must scroll down to see my reply. In OS 9 Outlook Express, my reply prompt went above the previous messages, which I prefer. Is there a reason why it is different in Entourage, and is there a way to change it?  - Entourage X Identity not recognized I am setting up Entourage on a new iBook and want to transfer all of my old folder, etc. from my old PowerBook. I have tried setting up a new Entourage Main Identity and have moved my old Identity into the Microsoft User Data folder on the new machine. The old identity is not named MAIN. When I launch Entourage and choose Switch Identity, I get the message "This identity cannot be opened with this version of Entourage." My old identity was running in Entourage with the 10.1.5 Office X update. The only other thing that is different is that I used it to connect to an Exchange server so I have an account in my old identity that accesses that server when I am in the office.  - import aol address book Is there a way to import the aol system X for mac address book into=20 entourage X. I am running OS X 10.3.1 panther on a G4? One idea I had since I still have aol as an ISP was to send an email out = to everyone in my address book and cc to my MSN account. All the=20 addresses come up in the cc'd email. I can copy these to a text file = and=20 they are easily made comma delimited. However, the import text file=20 option in entourage keeps telling me that the file doesn't appear to be=20 comma delimited (even though it is!)=20 Thanks for your help.  - address book-out of order I'm running Office X v.10.1.4 (with 10.1.5 update) on a dual USB G3 iBook with OS 10.3 (but the problem has been since OS 10.1) along with a Handspring "Edge" w/ Palm 4.1 Whenever I create a new address or edit an existing one in Entourage, the listings are placed out of alphabetical order on my handheld after syncing. The new or edited entries are placed at the beginning of my handheld's address list. and random addresses are placed out of order throughout my address list.  - Switching between tabs in Contact window Is there a way using just the keyboard to switch between the different tabs when viewing a contact (Summary, Name & E-mail, Home, Work, etc.)? This would be very beneficial to adding information quickly without needing to use the mouse to move to another tab. I'm using Entourage version 10.1.4.  - Entourage Crashes I am using Office and Entourage (with updates through 10.1.5 loaded) on a G4 running 10.2.2 with 768mb RAM. I am having a problem keeping Entourage running.  - Entourage crashes I have a G4 with Office running on it. Have the update packs thru 10.1.5 installed, but everytime I try to use another feature besides Mail (Address Book, Calendar, etc.) the whole app crashes. Is this a common occurence?  - How to block spam from POP3 mail? I have been getting a large number of spam e-mails over the past month. They mostly advertise the same products and are sent from e-mail addresses that are not valid. I use Entourage and my e-mail server is a POP3. What is the best way of blocking these spams? On occasion, when he replies to message, a small note appears at the top of the message indicating that the reply will be saved to the Inbox. Why is this happening?  - All data disappeared! What happened? Something really weird happened after I installed several new programs. When I opened Entourage all my data, folders, and settings were gone, empty, as if this were the first time I was using the program, as if I'd never configured it or downloaded any email. I nearly freaked out but remained certain that the data was there somewhere. Turns out it was. For some reason, a 2nd Microsoft User Data file got created in a different location, and that's what Entourage was showing. When I deleted this file and placed the original Microsoft User Data file in its place (I found it elsewhere on my HD), all my data reappeared, thank goodness. I'd like to understand what happened--how on earth this 2nd Microsoft User Data file got created-- to make sure it doesn't happen again. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks! Tag: Out of office assistant..  - Importing files from X to X? I have moved to a new computer (Mac G4) and need to transfer all my data from Entourage X to Entourage X. The import function does not recognize E-X, only the 2001 version. How do I do this? I know there has to be a way to save ALL my email, rules, folders, etc. Has anyone run into this?  - Entourage 2001 (9.0.4) A friend sent me an email with a couple of pdf files attached. As well as a Microsoft Paint file. Every time I try to open this, my computer crashes. I've tried deleting also but that too will crash my computer. Very weird and have never had this happen before. I'm running OS 9.2.2.  - Script to change subject Hello, I am looking for an AppleScript that I can call up as part of a rule to automatically remove a specific phrase from the subject line of incoming mail. Basically, my employer recently began using Spam Assassin on the mail gateway to screen all incoming email. When Spam Assassin detects spam it adds the phrase "===SPAM===" to the beginning of the subject line. Spam Assassin manages to catch some spam, but it also marks a lot of legitimate mail as spam as well. Roughly half of the mail entering my inbox these days is incorrectly marked as spam. I currently use SpamSieve to manage my spam locally ? with great success. What I would like to do is find an AppleScript that I can call up as part of a Rule to remove the "===SPAM===" from the subject line of incoming mail. Then I will send the mail through SpamSieve for proper spam detection. I have been looking around on the net for a couple of weeks and all I have been able to find are scripts that allow you to change the subject of individual messages with a dialog box.  - MS Office File Name Length Limitation Does anyone have information on when MS will fix the file name length=20 limitation in MS Office X? The problem is most troublesome for me in=20 regard to sending and receiving attachments because Entourage=20 dutifully truncates the file names. Any recommendations for=20 workarounds ? Currently I use another mail client to send files with = long=20 names. But that is still a pain and does not take care of receiving = files=20 with long file names. Tag: Out of office assistant..
