Tab navigation in Entourage doesn't work consistently

Here's what I think is a bug I thought would go away in Entourage 2004
(upgraded from Entourage v.X) but it's still there. Create a new
appointment
in the Calendar, enter the Subject and Location, then enter the Start
time
and click in the Duration box with the mouse to enter the length of
time.
Then press the Tab key to go to the time measurement box to the right
of the
Duration box. You can't! The tab key goes directly to the length of
time box
for the Reminder. When my hand is already on the keyboard, the last
thing I
want to do is be forced to use the mouse, particularly when the next
entry
also requires keyboard input. The same mistake continues after entering
the
length of advance notification for the Reminder. Pressing tab takes you
to
the comments filed at the bottom, completely skipping both the time
measurement box for the Reminder and the Travel time box. Am I missing
something or is there a workaround? Thanks.

I have this problem, and worse.
If I touch the tab key at any point during a calendar entry, I get the
same problem.

I've been trying to get help but no response has been forthcoming. I
see someone mentioned this in July, as well.

No response?

It's a known bug, if erratic. There's nothing that can be done about it
until the bug is fixed.

I believe it's yet another manifestation of the things that go wrong after
you've viewed a complex HTML message. If you quit and relaunch Entourage and
try to make an event before viewing messages, I think it will be OK. After
viewing your first complex HTML message, the problem will be back. If this
is true, and it matters more to you than seeing tables and pictures in
advertising-type email messages, you could always turn off viewing complex
HTML in Preferences/Security, and relaunch one last time.
