Well, your brother is missing some critical details. I'm at a loss to
explain behavior that does not occur.

Even if he completely reconfigured the old account with the new
information, old email would be there.

Based on everything you've said, the old email should still be there.
It doesn't go away unless you either delete the mail, delete the user
database, or create a new *identity* (which isn't necessarily easy to
