When entourage opens - the airport connection dissappears. Cant send.
Internet connection is fine in all other programs. However, the
scheduled send/receive allows email in - but not out. Any ideas?

I had the same problem. I had 3 different email accounts coming in and only
one allowed me to send. It was the email associated with my ISP. When I
changed the setting that all mail was to be sent with that account it all
goes out fine. I had the same problem with Mac mail program. Had to choose
to send mail using the ISP address. I wonder if it is a firewall setting
through the ISP we are using. Any one have similar issues?

Many ISPs will not allow you to send mail through another ISPs server. You
can send using different e-mail addresses, but the outgoing mail server must
be the server for your ISP in such cases. For instance, if my ISP is
Earthlink, the outgoing mail server is smtp.earthlink.net. I can have
accounts on mac.com, gmail, or whatever, and send mail that says it is from
those addresses, as long as the server is Earthlink's.
