I have my meetings setup in google calendar, how do I get it in entourage? So I can use single app to view my meeting, mails and todo.

Thanks.

You can't.

You can't *easily*.

While I haven't done it myself, it should work to
-Enable SyncServices in Entourage, which will tie Entourage and iCal
together.
-Get Spanning Sync (www.spanningsync.com) to tie iCal and gcal together.

Because of Entourage SyncServices limitations, you'll be tied to syncing one
iCal/gcal calendar w/Entourage.

Nice workaround. Just note that Spanning Sync is NOT freeware.

Another option that seems to work is to invite yourself to the Google
Calendar event. But you need to make sure you are using an email
address that is both unregistered under Google (so it does more than
simply duplicate the event, there) and one that you check with
Entourage. Simply open the email in Entourage, accept the invitation,
and a calendar event is now created under Entourage.

I tried this today, and the only issue was that my acceptance of the
invite wasn't registered, for some reason, on gCal itself, so it's
still waiting for a response. But that doesn't really matter since
I'm essentially inviting myself.

And of course, this only works on an event-by-event basis, rather than
an entire calendar at once.

I should add that I couldn't figure out how to get events from
Entourage to Google. They allow CSV imports, but even when I exported
using Paul Berkowitz's script, and then reformatted the headers to
meet the guidelines I found online, and it indicated that the event
imported successfully, it never showed up on my calendar!

BTW, the guidelines for CSV headlines can be found at:

First of all, stop hijacking threads by changing the subject (unless
you have a good reason, which you don't in this case).

Second, microsoft.public.mac.office.entourage is a NEWSGROUP not a
mail list. If you don't know the difference, google it (or go here:
http://groups.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=46854)

Third, to answer your question: this depends on how you are viewing
this group. If you are using google groups, there is a "+ new post"
link in the upper right. Otherwise, rtfm.

I have not idea what ³rtfm² means?

I am viewing this in mac entourage.

FYI I never called this a mail list and in Entourage 2007 there was a

I think I got this notion in a separate post you responded to "Re:Mail
group question", so I'm sorry about that. Someone else has their
nomenclature a bit broken.

In any case, if you are really using Entourage to read this group,
then you can click on the New button in the upper left and it will let
you post a new message.

I'm glad to see you using the Entourage newsreader rather than the Mactopia
interface. It's just like email. You reply when responding to a thread and
select "New" when you want to start a new thread.

Well, lo and behold, the CSV editing/importing I described above
actually does work! For some reason, nothing showed up on my
gCalendar at first. But once I logged back in, today, I found that
same event eight times, for every time I tried importing it!

So, while there isn't a good way to sync the calendar back and forth
(besides the Spanning Sync work-around), you can do an import/export
between Entourage and gCal... after a bit of work.

P.S. I changed the subject back to its original state because this
information should be useful for people.
