I used to open Entourage and my folders list automatically appeared on
the left hand side. Now, I have to go to View/Folders List every time I
start up the program in order to have this. How can I "fix" this ?

Thanks
Doug

Close all windows except the mail browser window. Set the folders to be
visible, then quit entourage.

On restarting, the window display should be retained.

Barry - that's what I thought, insofar as it shoud "memorize" how you
left Entourage the last time (visually), but sadly, no , also that
doesn't work. Any further suggestions? Much appreciated.

Thanks
Doug

Delete the 'Microsoft' folder in ~/Library/Preferences

Seems radical, but I moved the said file to trash, rebooted, waited
while Office added fonts to my computer (?), opened Entourage, clicked
on /View/Folders list, read a few emails, closed own entourage, closed
everything else, rebooted (just for the hell of it) and NO, the Floders
liost wasn't automativally there again.

Hey, I DO appreciate your efforts though.
Thanks
Doug

Hi Doug: I just upgraded from Office X to Office 2004, and ran into
your same issue: Couldn't get my Folders List to
appear at start-up even after selecting View Folders List in the menu,
and then restarting. But then I found the answer:

Click the Show Folders icon in the main window (looks like |||>), and
then quit and restart.

Hope this works for you too.
