Hi,
I was in the address pane of Entourage X and began typing the letters of
the email address I wanted to send my email to. Instead of just that one
address popping up in the drop down window so I could choose it, at
least 15 other ones popped up, none of which are in my actual address
book. They appear to be spam addresses of many emails I have deleted
over the last few weeks.

This happens with any letters I type into the address field. They don't
actually appear in the address book; they only show up when I start to
type in an email address in a new email I want to send.

I searched through many postings here and couldn't find any reference to
this problem. What is it and what should I do? I tried a rebuild but it
didnt' help. Thank you!

Janet

The addresses you're seeing are stored in the Most Recently Used list. You
can selectively delete single addresses, clear the entire list, or turn off
the feature. Learn more about the list and how to perform these tasks at
the Entourage Help Page:

Just found this happening in my address book also. The solution is to open
Entourage Preferences, select mail and newsgroups, select the compose tab,
look at the bottom of the screen and you'll find a check box under Recent
Addresses. Clear the check box and click on clear list. This should take
care of your problem also.

Hi Folks,

How would you going about exporting these email
addresses, as they are not part of the Contacts when you
try to export. I need to export them and then import into
Outlook 2003 for Windows XP

Thanks,
David
