i am having a hard time connecting Entourage2004 to Exchange Server
2003. the account will not set up automatically, and then i try
manually to set it up but it just shows "name of account (not
connected)" in the mailboxes window. my boss is the PC expert and she
swears that everything is setup correctly, but i don't have a way to
double-check.

i know outlook web access is working, because i can connect to it

i've never had any trouble setting up entourage 2004 with exchange
before, so i don't know any tricks. any ideas?

thanks

I only got this when the setup for my Exchange account was incorrect.
Try using the exact address you get when you use the Webmail for your
Exchange server and make sure you enable SSL if the site requires that
you connect through https.

yes, thank you , i did that already. i took the exact web address that
i use and put it in this field.

not sure if this is related, but i cannot file-share to the server. i
see the domain in the network window in the finder, and i can see the
server, but i cannot log in with the administrator's password, not a
regular user. it gives the "the alias could not be opened, because the
original item cannot be found"

Weird... it could be a DNS issue, but then I don't know how you manage
to connect through webmail :-\ Is your system up to date ??

Did you try using the IP address of the server instead of the domain
name ??
