 - Microsoft Entourage can't open window 1 hi there Two macs with office 2004 have the same issue, randomly entourage displays a message when closing saying: microsoft entourage can find window 1 These two computer have had same issue in the past, corrupted database. One of this computers have lost mails from its sent folder. Possibly when we rebuilt the database, but after checking the backup files from Entourage those files had already disappear. Could this be an error from my mail Server client KERIO? So I am confused. Can someone tell me if specific data from a folder can be corrupted and disappear. if this can be a virus, and what the hell is window 1. i have not seen any similar error in the knowledge database.  - Cannot view messages in Entourage My email is stored on an exchange server. I created a new xchange account. All of my folders synchronize however there are no messages in any of my folders in my Entourage account. When I log on to my OWA server everything is there.  - 'Entourage cannot access your data' Dear members, I opened Entourage as usual yesterday but was greeted with this message: 'Entourage cannot access your data. To attempt to fix the problem, rebuild your database' I went through the various steps to attempt to do this but eventually I got the following message: 'Rebuilding failed. It is likely that your database cannot be repaired' Does anyone know how I can resurrect Entourage and how I can retrieve the emails that were stored on the system?  - Encrypted E-mails going straight to Junk Got a weird one. Got certificates and keys from our Microsoft Certificate Services onto our Macintosh clients for sending and signing e-mails, I've configured Entourage to use these & to lookup Public Certs for other users using our LDAP server. However, when we send an signed or encrypted to a user that uses Entourage (either from another Entourage user or an Outlook User), the mail immediately goes into the Junk Folder. The details on the certificate of the message is all green checks, but for whatever reason, if I sign it, Entourage is sure the message Junk mail. Send a plain text message from the same user and it works fine, but this defeats the whole purpose of encryption and signing. I could change all of my Entourage clients to whitelist our internal domains, but I'd rather not have to do that just to get it to trust what is there.  - Combined view of my local and my work (Outlook-Exchange Server) I was recently elected to my City Council. The city email and calendars are on an Exchange Server (Outlook) which I access from Entourage or OWA. I am currently running Tiger (10.4.11) and Office (10.3.9;) and, I have been a Macintosh Partisan since the days that memory was measured in kB, and a Microsoft user since the days of Multiplan (the predecessor to Excel,) but I have little or no Windows or Exchange knowledge. At the moment I am stuck using 3 different calendars and trying to coordinate between my Palm, my [local] Entourage, and my city, Outlook/ Exchange calendars. What I'm trying to do seems simple enough in concept, but for the life of me I can't figure out how. I have my own (local) "Calendar (On My Computer)" and my own "Calendar [my city address];" there are also a dozen or so other city calendars from the "Public Folders." I want a combined view of my two calendars. I can get a combined view of all the calendars, but that is so much info that it won't display easily, much less make any sense. Being able to accept and send invitations would be nice but that's not a big deal for me. Being able to use or download the city "global address list" for my local email would be useful, but isn't a big deal. All I want is a combined view of my local and my Outlook calendar, Is this possible? Next I can try to figure out how to upload that to my Palm. Thanks Tag: entourage groups Tag: 83495

 - Transferring Entourage Projects from one computer to another Help! I'm trying to transfer my Entourage data (Office 2004, Student and Teacher Edition) data from a laptop running OS 10.4 to another running OS 10.5. Whole setup syncs with an Oulook server. Clean reinstall, then replaced the Microsoft User Data folder on the new computer with the one from the old computer. Mail, notes, and contacts transferred fine, and it syncs with the server without trouble, but no projects. Then I exported the Entourage database from the old computer and imported it to the new one. Still no Office Projects data. I have the old Office Projects folder in Documents on the new computer, but Entourage isn't finding it. What am I missing? Thanks.  - Can Review Calendars with Entourage, But Not OWA Hi, My co-workers have allowed me to review their Exchange calendars. I can open and view their calendar folders from Entourage. I have tried: https://exchange server domain name/exchange/user/calendar with OWA. I get the log in window, enter my username and password, but I just receive a prompt that the log in is incorrect, or sometimes a window that says I don't have permission to view the page.  - Sent Items not in readable format Hi, When I send a msg from m HTC-Touch phone, the sent item in Entourage is not in readable format. Looks like some msg format or Font isse. I tried font cleanup and seeting various msg type but no luck. Surprisingly this is happening only with HTC-Touch and the same was found working with HP iPAQ.  - Email List Keeps Reforming Often, when Entourage is downloading new messages from the server, it loses all the emails and begins to rebuild the complete email message list anew. It loses all the groupings by date and whether I have replied to the message. All emails are indicated as not read. Is this an Entourage quirk or my server acting weirdly.  - Entourage 2008 Does anyone have any insight to what the new version of entourage will be like? Specifically, will there be increased exchange functionality? Like, syncing tasks, notes, etc... I wonder if they can make something like that journaling function? I never used it but it might be cool? Also, I used to sync entourage to my phone with sync services. There were some fields that wouldn't sync because address book and entourage don't have same field setup. Are there any plans to improve this?  - Recurring Tasks corrupted by Leopard install? Hi, I've just upgraded my MacBook Pro to Leopard, and find that, my recurring tasks are behaving oddly in E. 2004 v11.3.6. If I open a recurring task, the "Recurring" always shows "Custom", and, if I edit the recurrence scheme it always shows "Daily" - even for events that originally were set to recur weekly or monthly - with the no. of days blank. And it always has "End after xxx occurrences" which is an option I never use, checked, with a number filled in - usually somewhere around 70. Further, some of these odd-looking tasks, seem to actually recur correctly (despite the displayed information). Others, however, are recurring incorrectly. Has anyone seen this?  - Active HTML links in email messages I may be doing something wrong. When I write an email address or an internet address in Entourage the addresses are not activated. Is there something I need to define or set so that I can see them as active in my messages? Unlike Word, Entourage seems to be difficult about this.  - Locating the Custom Dictionary path in Leopard finder By mistake I identified a custom dictionary other than the default. Now I can't locate the original custom dictionary. Where is it?  - Syncing Blackberry Categories With Entourage I am syncing my Blackberry with Entourage using Missing Synch from MarkSpace. All of my contacts come over to the Mac Address Book application with the Category associated with each Contact. However, the Category doesn't get transferred to Entourage. Microsoft says there is no way around this. But I have 1,500 contacts and I would have to update each on to add the Category!!! Yikes! Has anyone figured out a way around this problem??  - Entourage not responding Hi Yesterday I tried attaching a 800mb wav-file to an e-mail. Big mistake apparently: Entourage froze and I couldn't shut it or the computer down in any regular way, so I had to press down the power button. Now when I open Entourage, it just freezes from the beginning. No response, just the swirling beach ball and the computer churning. In Activity Monitor both Entourage and Database Daemon are highlighted red as in "not responding". When I shut down DD, Entourage stops churning but then all Entourage functionality has disappeared too. Either way I cannot access my e-mail through Entourage anymore!  - Entourage after Leopard Update Hi - I've just updated to Leopard and now find that all incoming email (and sent mail) using Entourage, after arriving in the correct folders from my Hotmail account - is then dumped into my Deleted folder.  - Rules don't work and ZIP greyed out Hello, I have two questions maybe someone have a idea. My rules don't work always. The mailing list rules always work. But when I add some personal rules some of them work and other not also if I make them all with the same procedure. Does someone have any idea what can be happened? (Entourage 2004) The other problem I have is that I have here installed Stuffit 12 deluxe and I also can use it fine. In the settings I also told Entourage to use it for attachments. When I make a new mail and look into the attachment advanced section, there is only standing at compression : None and I can't tick it on because it's greyed out.  - Entourage/.Mac question Hello, I have a friend who has set up an alias on her .Mac account. She, as I, use Entourage for our mail but are stumped over how to set up the alias on Entourage. She can send and receive from both her regular and alias address using .Mac mail on the web and can receive both on Entourage but cannot send new mail from the alias using Entourage. We have tried setting up a new account on Entourage but .Mac rejects the alias address when she tries to send. Since .Mac allows both sending and receiving with the alias from her .Mac account on the web my guess is that we are not configuring the Entourage account properly. BTW, she has no problem sending and receiving from her main .Mac identity using Entourage.  - AT&T Yahoo! Email settings Ever since AT&T Yahoo! changed its email settings, I've been able to receive my Yahoo! mail only sporadically. I also get continual "bot" messages from AT&T warning me that I'm not using their new settings. I open my Accounts settings and find that the settings are right, with the exception that the port override button is now unchecked (which, by the way, is what the Entourage Help Page says is correct). However, I can't find them in the in the "Sent" folder. Each email had two attachments, from 150 kb to 500 kb. Where did they go? They're important business emails.  - Entourage 2003 crash My wife has a G5 with OS 10.4 (about to update). Microsoft Office 2003 programs (WOrd, Excel, mainly) run fine EXCEPT for Entourage, which opens but cannot access the Internet most of the time. None of the mail settings have changed.  - Global Address List I've (sadly) figured out that I cannot access the GAL from Exchange in Entourage unless I'm connected to the network. Unlike Outlook connected via RPC over HTTP, Entourage seems not to be able to see the GAL. Does anyone know if this feature is fixed in Entourage 2008?  - Deleting messages that have already been deleted My problem is this: I have downloaded all my mail to Entourage. All of my older messages were somehow downloaded twice. I deleted the ones that I didn't want (including both of some of the messages) but when I hooked up to the server, only one of the messages was deleted. Now my Deleted Items folder has several hundred messages in it that I do not want on my computer but I can't get rid of them. My automatic script to empty the folder works for all messages but these duplicates and I can't manually delete them.  - Weird word wrapping Hi all, I'm new to this group and I have a problem. On some emails when I reply and I get to the end of a line it doesn't automatically wrap around but instead the first line gets chopped up so that each letter of the first line is on the second line, then the third, etc. Like this: First sentence is this Then when I get to the end of the line it turns into: F i r s t etc. Has anyone ever had this problem?  - Setting default view in Entourage 2004 Hello, Is there any way to set a default view for all folders or windows in Entourage 2004? For example, if I create a new folder, it defaults to show items in groups, and the columns include Projects, Categories, Conversations, etc. For every folder, I have to remove the ones I don't want. And if I have to clear the cache in Exchange or rebuild my database, I have to redo this with every folder again. Very annoying. I've looked everywhere I can think of to see if you can set a default, but I can't find anything. Am I missing something, or is this setting a default view not available in Entourage 2004? You can also go to the web and see a web based version of all this. It also syncs with smart phones like blackberry using Enterprise or Trio with Goodlink. However when I Use Entourage on my Mac the address book, calendar & emails sync fine but the notes do not sync at all? I would like to know if anyone has resolved this issue. How do you export your groups from entourage so you can import them
into mac mail? I can export my contacts, but not my groups. Thanks
