    - Using iSync I know that iSync and Entourage don't directly work together, but there are two scripts out there to sync Entourage with addressbook.app and iCal. But there docs only talk about version X of Entourage. Are they good for version 2004??     - Sync Entourage between PowerBook and iMac I'm using Entourage 2004, Panther, and tying to sync Entourage between my networked PowerBook G4 and iMac. The PowerBook is my main comupter. I followed Paul Berkowitz's suggestion to copy the Main Identity folder from one computer into the other. I quit Entourage on both computers and disconneceted from the Net before doing so. Even so, I keep getting a variety of messages saying that the folder can't be copied because something is "in use" (identies, signatures, database etc.) What gives? In Entourage 2001, I had to make a copy of the Identity file and transfer that over; I tried that and it didn't work either. I've used Sync Entourage - Address Book to sync to the Address Book; is there a way to use Sync to syne the files from the PowerBook to the iMac? Here is Paul Berkowitz's suggestion to someone on another thread: The simplest way is to regularly copy your identity folder from the more up-to-date computer to the other one, overwriting. You need to have the name of your identity the same on both computers - by default, if you haven't changed it, it's "Main Identity". If you _have_ changed it (at "Switch Identity...") in one Entourage, do the same in the other. Your identity folder is found on each computer here: ~/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2004 Identities/Main Identity/ where "~" means your OS user folder (actually at /Users/[username]/). The Documents folder is the one appearing in the left bar of Finder windows, at the bottom. All you need to do is copy the "Main Identity" folder - which contains your Database and support files which must be kept together - to the Office 2004 Identities folder in the same place on the other computer, replacing. That will update everything - messages, contacts, calendar, etc. - all in one fell swoop. It does mean that you'll have the same mail accounts in both places too.     - Entourage Vanishes Hi, can anyone help with this? Three times now, all my data has has=20 completely vanished out of Entourage 2004. I launch it, then get the = first=20 run pane and setup assistant, as though I've only just installed it. My connection is gone, my accounts, my rules, my address book, my mail. If I search in Microsoft User data/identities, I've gone too. The = destruction is=20 complete. If I run Norton Utilities, it can't find the database or my = missing=20 mail. Is this a programme problem, or does anyone know of a virus that could = do=20 such a thing? It's also happened to my partner's account on a seperate Mac.     - Back up Entourage in Office 2004 I am using Entourage in Office for Mac 2004. I connect to an Exchange server via VPN. Entourage works flawlessly, and is fast becoming my PIM of choice, far and away better than Outlook. The programmers should be congratulated for turning out a winner. I do worry about recovering from a hardware failure. I realize that a lot of information is in Exchange, but what about Projects and Notes?     - Entourage calendar view Is there a way to customize the calendar view like it can be done with Outlook? I have Office 2004 and in Entourage calendar the right pane shows all my tasks and what I like to do is customize the view so to see only the one's that are due the next seven days not all of them for the next 20 years which scares the heck out of me because I will never get them done!     - short username sent to WebDAV I'm having trouble getting Entourage X to show my Exchange Mailbox Contacts and Calendar items. I ran TCPFlow to see what was happening during the account-creation process, and found that Entourage was trying to log onto my Exchange server not with the Exchange user ID I had supplied, but with the short username of my Mac!     - HotSync Manager Dies at Entourage Conduit I have 3 clients that recently upgraded to Office 2004. One T3, one Zire 71, one Treo 600. They've all been able to sync until recently. Now, with Palm Desktop 4.2.1, they try to sync and the HotSync Manager just goes away when it reaches "Entourage Conduit". Sometimes it will make it all the way to "Date Book" on the Palm, but the computer is still the same--HotSync Manager dies. Occasionally I get the Error Report window to tell Microsoft and Apple of the problem...so I'm guessing the computer thinks its the Entourage conduit that has the problem.     - Managing multiple e-mail addresses I am using Entourage in a corporate Exchange environment. We recently changed our system so that everybody has a new e-mail address. For some of the people in my address book, entourage seems to have stored multiple e-mail addresses that appear when I try to address a new message.     - Creating a new account on Entourage I'm trying to create a new account on my Entourage so that I can use it to send & receive the mail sent to my professional Yahoo website. I got all the instructions and followed them but it doesn't work. I cannot send emails nor receive them, I get an error message ("a connection failure accurred. Error: -23012). If I switch to my other account with Entourage it works fine, no connection problems. Is there a difference between a POP and a POP3 ? in the instructions the only thing I find a bit strange is that they say to enter "My incoming mail server is a POP3" but I only have the POP option (no number 3) among other two.     - Entourage corrupting Powerpoint slides. Hi I just bought Office 2004 to be able to import windows Powerpoint slides and output them to a web site in several forms. The problem is that I started using Entourage as my mail client and now when I download or import (Windows).ppt attachments into Poweroint on my G4 the file is always..or almost always corrupted.     - IMAP Update List problem, Office X Hi gang, I am having an issue with an IMAP inbox. When new mail arrives, the inbox message list does not update to show the new mail. The only way it shows up in the inbox, is if I switch to another folder, then switch back to the inbox, or hit apple + L to refresh the list. Does anyone have suggestions to help with this? My send and receive schedule is set for 2 minutes. 'Refresh List' is not an option in Schedules, or I would do that every couple minutes.     - Exchange synch trouble I'm having trouble getting Entourage X to properly synch to my Exchange mailbox. When I enter in my account and server info, I can see my mail and my folders just fine, but I can't see any non-mail information in my mailbox. No contacts, no calendar, no notes and no tasks. I am not sure what the problem is, but I like my inbox to have a preview pane but my IMAP or Server Accessible POP accounts to have no preview pane open. I use the online accounts for spam. Unfortunately, if I change the preview pane view in the inbox or the server view, the setting is changed in all views.     - image size/resampling? Hi, I'm new to mac. I just got office 2004, and everything is great except = for=20 one problem. I love to insert pics into my email. With office 2003 (on = my=20 PC), you could resize an image by grabbing it's corners. After that, = right=20 clicking on it would, among other things, allow you to resample that = image=20 to a different resolution (say 96dpi).     - Mail Rule I am trying to create a rule whereby Entourage will move incoming email from Lists to which I belong to a folder on my desktop.     - Accessing Public Folder Addresses I have Entourage 2004 and Exchange Server 2003. Does anyone know how=20 to access a public folder with shared contacts. When I used Outlook = 2001=20 for Mac with Exhcange Server 2003 I had no problems accessing public=20 folders with a shared office calendar and shared office contacts. When opening an e-mail containing a multiple page .pdf file only the first page is in the viewing area. To see the remaining pages I have to open the attachment. Is this how this should work?     - Entourage v.X quit applying rules Not sure what happened but Entourage has quit applying rules. It used to = work fine, storing copies of incoming mail in folders based on "From" = group=20 membership. I haven't changed anything other than to add a new rule=20 (cloned off an existing one but with a different Group name). Now none = of=20 them work???? Weird. Anyone have thought?     - Massive duplicates of holidays in Calendar and address book with Just set up a new Exchange client with Entourage 2004, and am having a problem I've seen with one of our other clients as well. The Progress window is CONTINOUSLY updating the calendar, duplicating some unknown set of holidays to infinity, it seems. This client has been running for a few days, and had over 20,000 holiday events in the calendar. He also had over 600 contacts in his address book, although he couldn't personally have entered more than 10 or 20 of them. Where are these events and contacts coming from, and how do we stop them?     - 2004 upgrade I have just upgraded to office 2004. I get an error message from the Internet connection software when I try to get mail or news with entourage : "Can't find the connecting device". I get this error message just when using entourage 2004, and only when using dial up conncetion. No problems from my office ( cable) and with my mobile, via Gprs. No problems with safari, Entourage 2001 or any ither software I have checked the internet connceting software and entourage accounts Any ideas or help?     - Does Entourage 2004 sync tasks or notes with exchange server 2003 I have mac G4 running 10.3.5 with entourage 2004. I can sync email, calendar, and address book but, cannot sync tasks or notes.     - RE; entourage lost contact with keychain OK I solved it. My keychain setup was a little complex anyway since I'd imported one from my last mac (but it was working before!). I went to the keychain access tool in utilities, and used "keychain first aid" (makes sense). Somehow the port setting had got corrupted on the mail accts. Don't ask me how... I cannot send a pdf as an attachment to an e-mail when pressing the
email button in Acrobat. Here's what happens when I activate the
button:

Entourage opens;
the "subject" field has the pdf name; but
the attachment reads: "Attachment (PlayerPro document).669"

I do not encounter this problem using Apple Mail. Nor did I have this
problem with the previous version of Entourage.

Computer details: G5 dual processor (2 GHz) running Mac OS 10.3.5
I'm using the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Professional (6.0.2) and
the latest (only?) version of Entourage 2004
