Does anyone know how to edit multiple contacts in Entourage 2004? For
example: you have 10 different contacts at ACME, INC. and each one has
its own phone number and email address, but ACME moved to a different
building and you want to update that new address for all 10 contacts
without changing anything else.... If this has to be done with a
script please explain how to use it. Thanks inadvance for your help!

For 10 one-time changes I would just copy/paste into each one. Not very
efficient but simply and not too time consuming. To make finding these
easier click the "Company" column header to sort all like company names
together.

For larger lists I'd suggest exporting your Contacts to a text file and
then open that in Excel to do all your editing. Delete the old contacts
in Entourage then import only those changed records back.

Hope this helps! bill

Thanks for your answer, William. The 10 contacts was just an
hypothetical example... I'm thinking of more than 10 contacts per
company to change address or phone #... Your solution seems less time
consuming than pasting the new address on every contact individually,
but I wonder if I will loose some of the info on fileds like "Other".
"Certificates" and Custom fields created on Entourage when exporting
to and from Excel...I wonder how come nobody as created a script to do
this...Thanks in advance for your help!
