OK, this is a new one for me and I've been using Entourage since it first
came out and although I have tried searching the archives and the Microsoft
site for this, as well as a google search, I have found nothing.

That being said, it may be the simplest thing in the world.

Since updated Entourage using the most recent auto update from Microsoft, I
have "(On My Computer)" appended to a bunch of lists. For example, in the
"Move" menu, I see "Inbox (On My Computer)" and "Drafts (On My Computer)".
Is this a glitch or does it have something to do with the new Microsoft
Exchange compatibility? Can I get rid of it? It's making it more difficult
to read these lists and, since everything is on my computer, it is really
redundant.

FYI, I am using Entourage Version 11.2.0 (050811) and OS 10.3.9. And I have
already deleted the preferences and .plist files, and restarted, as well as
rebuilt and compacted and rebuilt the databases.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
James

Not a glitch. The information was added because you can have
identically-named folders on your computer, and on any number of IMAP and
Exchange accounts.

Unfortunately no.

Write to Microsoft and tell them your feelings.

They ought to give the user an option to shorten that string to a
user-selected version, somewhere in the preferences. The average user would
probably leave it alone, but for some of us, it drives us BATTY!
