I would like to stop Entourage from immediately sening emails when I hit the send button.- So that i have a chance to revise or rethink mails. I have looked at the schedule command, and set it to 5 minutes for send receive all, but that doesnt seem to affect the "send" button. <br><br>Willp

The purpose of the Send button *is* to send the message. If you don't
want to send the message then save it to your Drafts folder where you
can keep it on hold as long as you like until you do send it.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the suggestion. I am comparing it to Outlook where I can set the computer to send every 5 minutes and there is a "send and receive now" button. I was hoping that Entourage had something similar.

You'll have to simply stop hitting the "Send Now" button, I'm afraid.
There is a "Send Later" button, though.

That would be the "Send Later" button I mentioned in my reply to you in
the first thread you started.

If this is something you really wanted to do, you could do a hack via
applescript. When you write up your message, run a script that saves the
message as a draft and then moves it to your outbox. This should get picked
up the next time you do a send and receive. You can easily create a keyboard
shortcut if you place the script in the ~\Documents\/Microsoft\ User\ Data/
Entourage\ Script\ Menu\ Items/ folder.

I know that in the Outlook, you can use a tool that will allow you to wait until a given time to send an email. So, say I'm working late and don't want people to know I'm still at the office (because then they start calling) I could set the email to not send until 7:30 the next morning. Is there nothing like that in Entourage?

This option is not built into Entourage, however, there are scripts that can
do this. Go to this link:

Scriptbuilders <http://scriptbuilders.net/>

Do a search for delayed send. You'll find 3 scripts listed for Entourage.

Postpone, Delayed Send
Delayed Send X
Delayed Send (Entourage) .....this is an older script

You can test the top two to see which one better meets your needs.
