 - Moving Entourage mail addresses from one MAC to another MAC Version: 2004 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: intel Email Client: pop I have a MAC G4 which is acting a bit flaky and am trying to move address info on Entourage over to a MAC G5. The G4 is OS 10.4.11 and the G5 is OS 10.5.2. Both are using Entourage 2004 for MAC, Version 11.4.0. Is there an easy way to transfer/copy/import the address book data from one MAC to another?  - Horribly slow performance with Entourage 2008 Well, this sure wasn't the upgrade that Microsoft's marketing department made it out to be. The entire Office 2008 runs SLOWER than Office 2004 on my 2.33 GHz MacBook Pro Intel Core Duo with 2 GB of RAM. Most irritatingly is the launch time of Entourage 2008, and the INCREDIBLE LAG TIMES WHEN TYPING UP AN EMAIL MESSAGE. It can sometimes take a half-second for a letter to appear after I have pressed it on the keyboard. I am a VERY FAST typer, so typing and then waiting for my entire paragraph to show up is very irritating. Also, I am shocked at how much space Entourage now takes up on the screen, because of all the extra eye candy that Microsoft has added into the program... extra borders, larger font displays, etc. With my preview pane on the bottom, I used to be able to see 15 email messages at a time in my inbox. Now I can only see 11 at a time. This is even after reducing the font size of my list items to Verdana 10 point, and reducing the toolbar at the top to small icons. Ridiculous! It is clearly obvious that the people at Microsoft just don't give a crap about Mac users at all, and their commitment to Mac products keeps going downhill every year.  - Connection to Exchange 2007 SP1 After installing the update from file (not Auto Update) to our Office for Mac "test" machine, Entourage no longer wants to connect to our Exchange 2007 SP1 server. Keeps returning the "Mail cannot be recieved at this time: Bad username/password" error. The account is fine as the user can log into OWA with no problems. I have recreated the profile once already to no avail. The only thing left (as far as I can see) is to reinstall Office back to 12.0.0. Any other ideas?  - Entourage 12.0.1 & Blackberry get out of Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: intel Email Client: Exchange I have recently upgraded to Entourage 12.0.1 and since doing so messages in the Entourage inbox no longer match those on my Blackberry phone. It appears to be a problem when messages are deleted or moved from the inbox in Entourage they remain on the phone. When you look on Outlook or with Web Mail they are gone, but they remain on the phone. If you do deletions or moves with Web Mail or Outlook they reflect immediately on the phone. (if you open a mail on Entourage it shows as read on the phone and visa versa). I read that there is a bug in Entourage that deletes the "mail id" which Blackberry (BES) uses to track the message and thus they get out of sync. I was also told there might be a server side issue on Exchange or BES, but our IT people can't trace anything. The total number of contacts that I am trying to export is 380. I select all the contacts and then drag them to my folder on the desktop. When I open the folder on the desktop, there are only 314 contacts in the folder. I located one of the contacts that didn't export and successfully exported it by dragging it to the desktop folder. I then opened the vcf card of a contact that exported in the group and a vcf card of the contact that I had to export individually.  - Office 2008 reminders don't appear automatically I have multiple reminders (calendar events) set to "Every Day" yet they don't automatically appear each day. The only way to get them to appear is to close the Office Reminders app and reopen it. Once I do that all of my reminders for that day appear. I've update to 12.0.1 and all my apps reflect this except Office Reminders which still shows 12.0.0 (071130). Microsoft Database Daemon is in my login items and I've checked Activity Monitor to confirm that it's running. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it but I used Office 2004 previously and all of my reminders were created in that version. Any ideas why this is happening? This application is running on an Intel-based Mac running v10.5.2 with Entourage 2008 v12.0.1.  - "Print one copy" no print presets I tried the "Office" group on 4/10 and got no response. So I'm trying the "Entourage" group. When I "Print One Copy" from Word or Entourage, it doesn't use my printer presets (which are set to print duplex on both sides of each sheet). When I do just "Print", it uses my printer presets. I have found a way to update my Entourage calendar on an Exchange Server using IMAP. You might know this already, but just in case. Open the Calendar folder from the mail view. You may have to go to the folders on server to find it. To add the folder, select the rollup (IMAP mailbox name) just above the INBOX. You will see a list of folders. Just double click the Calendar folder. Once it is added, select it. IMAP will sync the information in the folder. When you change to the Calendar view, your Calendar has been updated. But now realize the short coming in Entourage and require the Exchange support. I asked Microsoft if I could purchase an update version of Standard and was told no. I would have to send my current version in for refund. Wait approx. 25 days for my refund and purchase a full version. In my book, that is paying $250 just for exchange support in the package. I wish I could find the receipts for the 3 Office Pros I have for the PC and refund those to cover the cost. Or better yet, allow me to download the media and use the current PC key. I am running OS X Leopard and Entourage connecting to my office exchange account (only email account going in to Entourage for now). I am logged in as the administrator and this is the only user account set up on the machine. I have re-booted the machine 4 times now (software updates requiring re-boot, upgrading memory) and each time I have rebooted (this is the 3rd time no since I installed Entourage) Entourage thinks it is a brand new install and prompts me to set up a new account. It is like Groundhog day! When I go to account settings, there are no accounts set up, and all of my emails, calendar, contacts etc are gone. I set up the account again, and, several hours later after synchronizing with the server, everything is back in order on my desktop. Obviously, I don't want to go through this every time I reboot!  - Entourage 2008 Exchange Account Settings disappear on reboot I have a new (1 month old) imac, and just recently (two weeks ago) installed MS Office 2008. I am running OS X Leopard and Entourage connecting to my office exchange account (only email account going in to Entourage for now). I am logged in as the administrator and this is the only user account set up on the machine. I have re-booted the machine 3 times now (software updates requiring re-boot, upgrading memory) and each time I have rebooted (this is the 3rd time no since I installed Entourage) Entourage thinks it is a brand new install and prompts me to set up a new account. "Unable to establish a secure connection to myservername.com because the server name or IP address does not match the name or IP address on the server's certificate. If you continue, the information you view and send will be encrypted, but will not be secure." I have called my hosting company and everything is working fine on the server side. I have gone back and forth to Mail and it is working fine, so can anyone tell me why Entourage is giving me this message and is there a solution? Did I miss something in my settings? I've tried all the Paste Special functions on Entourage and I still don't get the 1st line of paragraphs indented, which is the main thing I think I need so I don't have to go through the whole document and set one indent at a time. I guess that's the only formatting I need to carry over. This email has carefully formatted letters (documents) for agents who will not open attachments. Yesterday i let a friend who does not have a computer sync his PDA with my palm desktop under his own user. Today when I synced my PDA with entourage many of my calendar entries were gone and I have all his "to do"s. The items missing had been synced previously. Help!!!

That looks like a bug in whatever application you are using to sync your
Palm :-\
