Difference between your inbox and your "account in folder list"
Hi all,
Can someone explain to me what the difference is? With my inbox I can check,
send, delete emails, when I have my account in the folder list I can do all
this so whats the difference? Thanks :) Tag: blocking email Tag: 29339
How to block ALL html messages?
Is there a way to detect an incoming html message before opening it? If so,
is there a way to force Entourage to open it strictly as a text message.
If not, is there a way to block ALL incoming html messages?
I'm fed up with the long waiting time each time I open one of these damned
things. (550Mhz G4, 768MB of RAM, 20MB allocated to Entourage, Mac OS
9.2.2)
Thanks in advance.

Duplicated messages in Inbox?
I have a problem with duplicated messages in my Inbox.
Sometimes when I reply to the 1st (most recent) message in my Inbox, after I
send the reply the 1st message is renamed the same as the 2nd message. Then
I no longer have access to the message I replied to. Selecting either
version of the now duplicated 2nd message brings up the 2nd message. The 1st
message, however, still has the "Replied To" arrow icon next to it.
Any way to fix this and get access to the message I replied to? I've tried
reloading the message headers from the IMAP server, and also rebuilding the
database by launching Entourage with the option key pressed -- no go.
Thanks,

How to export vcards without pictures?
I need to export my vcards (to an iPod) without the pictures. The apple
adress books does. So I think Entourage can do this too.
Even, it looks like a bug. Try to drag and drop a contact with a photo on
your desktop. Entourage and the Finder freeze about 2 minutes PER contacts!
Thanks in advance. Tag: blocking email Tag: 29333
Conduit Manager Fails - How to De-Corrupt Identity Data Beyond
Can an MVP, Paul Berkowitz, or someone help?
BUG:
I get a message that the "Conduit Manager Fails" right when it first
identifies the entourage conduit, even if all the synch options are turned
off. This appears to be caused by corruption within the identity because
new identities work at first.
NEED:
A way to completely eliminate corruption from my identity database.
It does not fail when synching with the Palm Desktop.
ATTEMPTS TO FIX
1. This is not fixed with uninstall and reinstall of latest copies of
Entourage, Palm OS, or synch software, or resetting the Mac OS permissions,
rebuilding Entourage, or even rebuilding the Mac OS from the ground up.
Sometimes, some of that will fix it, but the bug comes back after a few
synchs.
2. This IS fixed by setting up a new Identity and transferring over the
calendar with Paul Berkowitz AppleScripts of Entourage 1.2.10 and then hand
typing the tasks. AND, never setting the dates to infinitely repeating. If
I transfer over the tasks, or the emails, or the categories, it fails.
3. I have run Paul Berkowitz' Clean Up AppleScript, then exported, and
imported. Run again, export and import. The data (if that's the cause)
still triggers the crash.
4. I used Paul Berkowitz' trick of identifying and deleting duplicate
events.
5. I've followed everything (I think) in the Jaguar troubleshooting manual:
http://www.macattorney.com/tutorial.html
POSSIBLE CAUSES:
1. There is always a Kern panic in the Mac OS. When I get the Console log
for the Conduit crash, there's always a thread crash in the third thread,
whatever that means. Maybe Panther will fix this?
2. I've read that Entourage has too many fields for Palm. When I add
categories and try to re-synch, it gives me the conduit crash. Maybe I
could cut out some fields somehow?
3. This did not happen in Mac OS 10.2.6. The bug was either triggered by
asking for infinitely recurring dates, or 10.2.8, or both.
4. It may have been triggered by installing Norton. I uninstalled it to
factory.
THIS WOULD PROBABLY FIX IT:
1-> Getting my datafiles uncorrupted. Any ideas how to go further than an
"advanced rebuild"?
ENVIRONMENT:
I have a 400 Mhz iMac with 640 MB RAM, Mac OS 10.2.8, with a Palm 4.1 OS,
and Entourage 10.1.4 (AKA update 10.1.5) with a Palm m300 equivalent (the
Kyocera SmartPhone)

Applescript to purge IMAP "Trash" folder
Using Applescript, I can delete messages in my IMAP's Trash folder but I
can't figure out the equivalent for the "Purge Deleted Items" menu
selection. I'd love any ideas on what commands to send. The "Delete expired
IMAP items on quit" doesn't work on quit (deleted items remain on Entourage
restart) but I'm sure I misunderstand what that means.
Mac OS X 10.2.8, Entourage 10.1.4

Move to folder rule stopped working
Hi - any idea why a rule to move messages to a specific folder suddenly
stopped working? I've had all my corporate mail moved to a mail subfolder
for some months, but a week or so ago it stopped. No other changes were
made.
TIA
