Good Morning,
I have been experiencing the same trouble, it seems. It happens when I
attempt to send Jpeg files to a PC user. I believe he is using Outlook.
In one reply from him, there was a line at the bottom saying the
message was truncated. Although this had happened before (lately), it
is a new phenomenon, generally speaking. I used to send jpegs to him
with success.
Out of desperation (and limited knowlege) I went to the Mac utility to
check my hard drive and ran it. It found some sort of error and fixed
it. I sent a batch of jpegs to another contact (also using Outlook)
last night with appearant success, though I will try my other contact
again this morning.
In the reply message from my succesful attempt, there was (again) a
pane at the top (with a verticle slider), the contents of which read:

My G5 is "stock", so to speak- nothing but common software :Office for
Mac, CS2 Creative Suite, Capture One, I View and related photograpgy
software.
If it makes any difference, I have noted that sending jpegs was
steadily disinegrating. More than two messages containg small (300K)
file attachments would grind the delievery process to a near hault. THe
day I sent the first batch, I found that the Mac took 12 hours to
deliever 4 messages.
It is connected to a router (My PC is too (no problems there) and I
have wireless broadband.
I hope this lengthy missive sparks something that can help us get back
on track.
Many thanks,
BIllie
