I get this message and can't run Entourage. Word shows the same
message. Excel and Powerpoint open. I haven't had problems for 3
months until today.

It appears that I will have to reinstall Entourage. Where are the data
files so I can make sure to back them up before attempting my
reinstall? I know there isn't a PST file like Outlook, so I need to
what to look for.

Thanks.

Your data is stored in the Microsoft User Data folder. This folder is not
altered when you reinstall Office.

Since the problem involves Word, I would check for bad fonts and test both
applications in a new User.

Before you reinstall Office, go through the troubleshooting basics to
determine where the problem is located.

Thanks. I created a new user and now it works. So I do I solve that
problem now?

This is where the fun comes in... :-) Now that you know the problem is in
your User's folder you will need to try and find the culprit.

Since the problem affects Word, it seems to eliminate your database, but I
would copy your database over to the new user and test there. Use your
Shared folder to copy over the Microsoft User Data folder. If your database
checks out there then I would next look at checking your fonts.

One consideration to clear up the problem would be to do an archive an
install of the OS.
