I seem to recall the same problem that I had when I first migrated over to
Entourage. They were out of order on the Palm, and any type of editing like
putting in a space, or backing up a character and then replacing it with the
same one - anything that actually changes any of the entry fields - would
put it back in alphabetical order when I left that contact. The bug is
somewhere between Entourage and the Palm device, nothing to do with the OS.
I think it has something to do with going back and forth between using
Entourage, then iSync, or Entourage and Palm Desktop. It happened that one
time, and then after I had them all back in order, it never happened again.
