Or a red line through them or something, so I know that they have been
moved. If I drag from my inbox to a folder in my folder bar I want
some sort of evidence that the file was moved so I don't have to then
open the folder I dragged into and double check. I'm on a brand new
laptop and when I first opened emails and filed them on they were
deleted. If I deleted something a red line and x went through it. Once
I brought in my old emails from my old laptop into my main identity
this stopped happening. I can't figure out where this is all set so I
can change back to make it happen as it was. Any thoughts?

It sounds like you are using an IMAP account. Go to Tools > Accounts, and
open your IMAP account. Click the "Advanced" tab, and under "Delete
options", select "Mark messages as deleted: Purge deleted messages when
leaving IMAP folders".
